The sharp, copper smell of blood reached his nose and he recoiled. It was strong, as if someone was injured badly. He heard someone whisper and his ears turned to take in the sound, trying to decipher what they were trying to say. Who was hurt? He caught his name and turned, trying to see in the dark. It was useless though. He lowered his head, inhaling; the scent was stronger. "Zoet?" he murmured, hoping it wasn't she who was so wounded. His head jerked up as he heard something fall to the ground with a thud. His eyes widened, though it didn't help his lack of sight any. "Zoet?" he asked again, this time louder. He lowered his head again, muzzle brushing against warm skin. Was that her? He hoped so. "Are you alright?" he asked, know that she couldn't possibly be because of the smell. It was so strong, as if he could choke on it. His nose trailed up her neck, looking for her head. He stepped forward carefully, his hoof stepping into a sticky liquid. He stopped, his nose hovering over the pool. He grimaced, know that it was blood and unsure what to do now. Was she going to die? It seemed like a lot of blood. He gently nudged her neck, wondering if she was still conscious. She had sounded so weak when she spoke before.. "Zoet?" he asked again, worry creeping into his voice. "Come on Zoet, say something, please." He pushed harder, not sure what else to do. He lifted his head, cursing the darkness. He couldn't see a damn thing.

zoet
Zoet started to come to, only sensing a dull allusion of what was. She had been knocked out, she knew as much.
The pool of blood that surrounded her face had dried somewhat, and she realized that something must have struck her head. Something substantial.
She felt much better now, her head had started to heal, and it seemed as though all of the sudden she felt perfectly fine. Better than fine, actually; something must have hit a part of her brain that held sense awareness, because she was not sensing all of the things that she was before magnified by at least twenty. She suddenly started to notice the hard, sharp, texture of the rocks that littered the cave, the length of the cave, of which they weren't nearly close to the end, and finally the other horse in the cave. Was that horse alright? And Keanu, so loyally standing beside her. Keanu, what a wonderful friend...is that what they were? Friends? Zoet hoped so, after that they had just gone through.

Thoughts | Words | Text OOC- Im changing Sham to Aria because Sham is injured :B
BBC-
Aria blinked her eyes, trying to stay focused, as she heared the Stag trying to talk to the other mare. Blood started to drip from her head. So she had been struck there too. He coat stained a light red color from the blood. her bald head thumping against the floor, she nickered out low and hoarse. Her eyes rolled back, and her leg, trapped under a big rock, started to tingle. But she fought the darkness and called out again, her voice cracking. 'H-h-help me. P-please.
Aria coughed, and her head throbbed, her bright blue eyes - now dull - traveled the cave, looking for the other horses. The rock was small enough to push off, but she needed the other two, as she was too weak, and her leg really started to hurt. But it was nothing compared the the deep slash across her -now red- forehead.

Keanu felt Zoet start to move, coming back into consciousness. The smell of blood was still sharp and demanding, but slowly fading. "Are you alright?" he asked softly, reaching out with his muzzle and cursing the darkness once more. It was as if he were blind, he couldn't sense anything around him besides the ground and the mare lying there. He heard a thump and his head immediately shot upward, twisting towards the sound. The other equine nickered, a sound of distress. "H-h-help me. P-please." the other one said. He took a step forward, but stopped, wondering if he should leave Zoet there or not. He didn't know how badly she was hurt, and what if the unknown equine was injured worse? What if the other wasn't someone they could trust? His mind fluttered back and forth, coming up with different ideas and making his nerves shoot up.
Suddenly the ground shifted again and he lost his balance, unprepared. He tumbled to the ground and rolling into the wall, the rouch surface scraping into his hide. He grunted in pain, twisting and trying to keep his body from banging against the shards even harder as the aftershock continued to make the earth shake. It slowly came to a stop and he snorted, heaving himself off of the ground, his hooves clattering against the stone floor and his leg beginning to throb. Great. He took a shaky step forward, his head low to the ground for balance as well as direction. He still couldn't see anything. The aftershock hadn't cleared the entrance at all; if anything it had probably caused more snow to fall and pack in the entrance, making it all the more hopeless that they would get out of here any time soon.
Keanu took another step forward, sucking in a breath and pulling his leg up. He must have hit it against the wall, like he had the first time he hurt it. He forced himself to walk in the direction he thought Zoet should be, his nose successfully coming into contact with warm flesh. "Zoet?" he asked, hoping that she hadn't been hit with any more falling rocks. He seemed to be the only one standing in this cave, Zoet injured, and the other mare hurt as well. He lifted his head again, wondering if he should try and find the other mare and see if she was alright? He sneezed, the dirt and dust from the falling shards finding it's way into his nostrils. He shook his head, sighing. What were they going to do? They were stuck here, quite possibly hurt badly, and with no way to get help. And it was cold in here, his body reminded him as he shivered involuntarily.
