Karuk's dreams were peaceful. Mostly filled with memories of Kilton; of finding him and protecting him from harm. In a way the mare reminded him of that bird, the way she seemed to fall into trouble at such a random time. Her happy go-lucky attitude toward life and being so scatter brained and easily distracted. It was like he had found another bird that had fallen from it's nest and needed help, though this wasn't a bird. It was another horse. He sighed softly, a deep tiredness settling into his limbs. He shifted in his sleep, wincing as sun began to filter through the trees and into the small cove. His mouth opened and closed, his nostrils flaring as he breathed deeply. He felt something pull at his mane, his ears flickering. Kilton was such a bother in the mornings. Though, a whiskered muzzle pushed at his poll and he knew it wasn't Kilton.
His eyes slowly cracked open, the early morning light not as harsh as he had expected. He blinked a few times, uncurling his neck and moving his head away from his chest. The bones popped, relieved to come out of the cramped position. He slowly lifted his head, turning to lay upright on the ground. "Hey," he said, his voice thick with sleep, "How're you feeling?" he asked, twisting his head to look at her.

Shika watched him as he stirred awake. "Hey," He spoke softly to her. The soft morning light shone onto his pale face, Glowing with a pink hue he almost look majestic. he was a rather unusualy marked stag one she had never seen before."Hey sleepy" She smiled softly up to him. "How're you feeling? He spoke, his voice still sounded sleepy. He span round to look at her. she shifted, pulling herself up, now sat in a more comfortable state. "I feel fine, why wouldn't i? she paused and looked around her. The place riminded her of something she had seen before, somewhere she had been before. She got to her feet. "Have i been here before, this place seems familular...?" she paused and walked around in a small circle. Her head swam with thoughts and images. "w..w..what happened last night?" She asked Karuk as she headed back to him feeling a littel dazed and confused.

"I feel fine, why wouldn't I?" she said, looking at her surroundings. Did she not remember? She stood, "Have I been here before, this place seems familiar...?" she asked and Karuk shifted his weight, preparing to stand as well. She walked in a small circle, obviously a little confused. "W-w-what happened last night?" she asked him, walking towards him; obviously confused. He looked up at her from the ground, wondering why she wouldn't be able to remember anything. "You don't remember anything that happened?" he asked, a little worried. He forced himself to stand, bracing himself as his legs were a little wobbly. He straightened himself though, strength and energy surging through his veins. "What do you remember?" he asked, tilting his head to the side and trying to think of why she couldn't remember. Last he knew, the healing abilities didn't do that.

"You don't remember anything that happened?" Shika lookeda round her again, trying to make her mind remember atleast something. But she just kept coming up blank. Nothing, she couldnt even remember what she had done either. "What do you remember?" She glance down at Karuk, he was so worried about her, and she didnt like that all too much, causing her to panic, making it worse for herself to remember. " I really have no idea what i remeber, i cant think right" She sapn this way, then the other way, confused and lost, panic became stronger. She galloped of into the trees, her panic becoming all to much for her to handle. Shika was good at fleeing from things that became to much for her to handle. Though seeming happy all the time and carefree, she was just a little messed up inside the little cranium of hers. Everything was jumbled up causing her mind to spin.

"I really have no idea what I remember, I can't think right," she said before she turned and dashed into the trees. The action was so sudden that Karuk just stood there for a moment, staring at where the mare had been just moments before. He blinked a few times, lifting his head to look into the trees where her painted body had vanished. She was so unpredictable, it drove him nuts. He was used to being able to know what was going to happen next; living alone with the earth and a silly bird as your company led to routines. The same things, over and over. He sighed softly, stepping forward in a steady canter in the direction she had gone. She couldn't have gotten very far. Kilton appeared, flying ahead of him and into the trees as well.
"Shika?" he called carefully; he had been following her trail for a while. He hoped she had stopped at some point, a tiredness still lindering in his body. He sighed, shaking his head. He thought about stopping, about letting her run off. Maybe it was better that she didn't know; that she didn't remember. He snorted softly, knowing that he had to keep going, to make sure she was alright at least. After all that had happened in the short time he had known the mare, it wouldn't be so far fetched to think that she might have fallen and injured herself again.
He stopped at the edge of the river, looking in both directions and becoming confused. Kilton swooped in, landing onto a fallen tree trunk and scratching at the wood. Had she crossed into the other territory? In her panic he supposed she might have. He stared at the trees across the river, looking for any signs she might have gone across, though she could have crossed anywhere along the river. He sighed again, looking down at Kilton. The eagle turned his head up at the stag, then back to the wood he was picking at. "Should we go after her?" he whispered, the bird lifting his wings in a shrug and hopping along the tree. Karuk kicked the log and the bird twisted back with a screech of annoyance. "You're useless." he said, looking down at the water and then at the trees that stood on the other side.
