Apodis lapped at the cool water. He had come from the further lands of the east. He had hopped to find someone in his travels that could use his help. Though no one seemed too bothered. He glanced up into the sky as a small bird flew over head. He wondered to himself what it would be like to be a bird, to be able to fly places and not have to worry about walking, it sure would be much easier, and faster. He lapped at the cool water once more, droplets splattered his wiskers, some also ran down his chin as he raised his head from the stream. The water was crystal clear and had a sweet taste, easily settling his empty stomach. Even though this meadow seemed abundant with food it was pretty much lifeless, just the smallest creatures, not so visible to the eye could be lurking around. Apodis made his way through the field, searching for another lifeform like him.

N-n-now that that don't kill me Can only make me stronger. I need you to hurry up now Rasta slid through the land. Her golden coat shining in the sun as she headed over towards the mountains. Everything was different down here, after all she had rarely traveled this way. It was something she didn't really trust. But, she had decided today that she would move this way for kicks mainly. Her muscles rippling under her pelt as she edged forwards, towards the vibrations of another living animal. Her tail billowing out behind her as she allowed her steps to be high and slightly fancy. But, she tripped in some of the ice that was still there from the night before and slid forwards. Not really injuring herself but causing her to lose her idea of the world for a bit. Apodis could feel the hoove fall vibrations of another equine, it was headed towards him, seeming to travel lithely through the vegetation. He felt as this equine slipped on the ice, immediatly alerting is natural instinct to protect. Flicking his ears like large satalite dishes, hoping to pick up the sound of her movement, thus being able to find which direction they came from. Once detecting the sound Apodis turned his torso in that direction, there not to far of was another life form that matched his. He had not come across many in is travels across the lands, it sent his pulse into overload, excitement radiated of off his pelt. He called out to her and began trotting forwards, dodging the patches of ice the best he could. His dark mane billowed out beside him as the chill breeze whip up through the vast open lands. He stopped not to far from the little equine, only to notice that the eyes she wore were a strange colour, almost completely one hue. "Hello" he greeted her in a deep but formal voice.

There's a song that's inside of my soul. It's the one I've tried to write... The golden mare’s audits pricked upwards as the stag called out to her. It was a strange feeling, but it was one which she would easily get accustomed to. The feeling of another equine around. She had been alone for sometime since the miscarriage. But, that was because she had chosen it. Should she have stayed with Scathashoun? That might have been smart. But she wasn’t all to welcome to having memories flooding her mind at the moment. After all, she had no clue what would really happen,. She could have stayed with him and lost him – as she would lose any other mortal which she fell in love with. It was better that he wasn’t here. Or was it? That would always be the question which lingered through her mind. Forever and for always, she would wonder if she should have stayed with him instead of wandering off alone. She was in better health now, though the cold nights did cause her back to occasionally spasm and cause quite a bit of pain. It was something that she was becoming quite accustomed to though.
Lifting her cranium up she ‘glanced’ at the new stag. She could feel his muscular form. Blinking once she allowed her audits to swivel to face him again. She could feel each breath he took in, and as hers calmed down, matching the strangers, she allowed her whole body to relax also. ”Why ‘ello to you too,” she said, rocking onto her haunches and pulling herself up so that she was standing. Her back immediately persisted the action she nearly dropped to the sodden earth once more. ”Well. This is embarrassing, isn’t it?” she said laughing at herself and shaking her head. Even if the world was falling down around her she preferred to keep a straight face, and smile. No one was to know what she was feeling unless it was that she was angry. Then, yes then, she would allow them to see it. But it had to be then. ”What has caused you to come out here?” she questioned, dropping her maw slightly in respect to him. No one guessed her as the Alpha. Well, only one – Bon. But that was because of his childhood stories being engrained in his mind. Few had been told of the Alpha’s and remembered it. So, with a tiny swish of her tail she awaited the new stag’s response. [/blockquote] ==Into the mind. . 415 words . typed up on the plane . funeral was today[/size]

She spoke rather strange, rather more like an older, more wise equine ”Why ‘ello to you too,”. He stood watching the strange little mare as she attempted to rise. There was something in her eyes, something that wasnt quite right. As she were rising she seemed to pause, and almost stumble back down again. ”Well. This is embarrassing, isn’t it?” She seemd to be happy about her mistakes? about herself almost falling? she was a little peculiar. His instincts kicked in, protect, care, save. He croached down to the little mare. "Here.. He spoke as he pushed his weight into her side, placing his head under hers and pushing up with his full weight, raising up to his hooves, "steady now, try not to stand on the ice" he spoke his words softly but with a power behind them, he hoped the young mare would trust him and not reject his helping hand, if anything thats what he feared most, Rejection. It was a horrid feeling left inside, making you feel like an empty shell. Like you were useless, you couldnt do anything but be empty. Nothingness. ”What has caused you to come out here?” "Well i could ask you the same? but i wont do that. He kept his eyes peeled to her movements, watching every breath of air, every twitch of muscle, evey ear flack, her mane gently blowing in the fridget breeze. "I heard of stories of the north, this same meadow with lush feeding and a plently of water, and all have been correct so far, and the visionless mare who roams these lands, the Alpha so some have told me, but others did not have an idea of who were to own these parts, so i came here to figure it out, to find the Alpha and see if the stories were correct. And your lucky to have stumbled upon me, it seems you need my guidence, my help. I am Apodis The way he spoke his name, made it seem like he was bowing to her, proud of who he had become. "I am protector and body gaurd if you wish, i travel at my own regards and lend the power of my soul to others in need, then i vanish and help the other lost souls. Thus why i have found you, you are my next victim, my next lost soul in need, and if you wish, by your comand i will serve you untill you need me no more" ..:. 437 ..:. So yeah i have no clue where that came from O.o and apparently he speaks in a rhyme or so so... Yeah, right okays then ... O.o

The golden mare listened intently to his words, taking in each syllable with a precious tenderness as the words began to create complex sentences in her head. Ah. Her story. And a protector? She would need one, she could feel something horrible coming, it was a chill in her bones. A nasty chill. One that she believed to have come with the weather. But, then again, she couldnt totally be sure. So having a "body guard" couldnt hurt, now could it. Shaking out her mane as she stood a bit taller now she titled her head in his vicinty and then allowed herself to speak. "As for the tales you have come to seek as true i can confirm them. Speaking from experience, mainly because I am that golden mare." dropping her head down slightly in acknowledgement she continued. "A helping hand is always appreciated, something dreadful is upon us, i can sense it in my bones...." traling off she shook her cranium to keep herself from going any further on the subject matter. "In case the name of the mare from the story has eluded you for the moment, i am Rasta, and it is a pleasure to be in your company, Apodis" she concluded awaiting his reaction to the situation. "As for the tales you have come to seek as true i can confirm them. Speaking from experience, mainly because I am that golden mare." Apodis stood up more straight, her words had satrtled him. she was the mare? then that would mean... He casualy though to himself, then glanced up into her eyes. And to his belief, her eyes where shrouded in a white fog, thus comfirming of her blindness. Before he could react anymore to her words, she spoke once more "A helping hand is always appreciated, something dreadful is upon us, i can sense it in my bones...." "In case the name of the mare from the story has eluded you for the moment, i am Rasta, and it is a pleasure to be in your company, Apodis" He gently bowed his cranium to her, honouring her acception of his protection. His heart buzzed with tiny electrical shots, he felt alive again, it had been too long since he last served one, he had alltogetehr forgotten how much he depended on it. Going back to her previous words, he too now felt that somthing terrible was upon. Immediatly glancing to the sky, he soon realised what that feeling were. "Theres a storm brewing Rasta, i fear it to be quite violent, we should seek shelter" He glanced back to her, the light slowly dwindling away, fog rolling in around there ankles.

The golden mare shifted positions, a cold chill spurring up her spine as the warmth of the sun suddenly diminished. If her assumptions were correct than the world had gone almost pitch black. An odd howl had fled into the nearby forest. "Shelter sounds good. There is one not too far off from the right here." she suggested, swishing her tail and moving back a couple of strides into the shadowed forest just as more fog swirled in around her hooves, moving up taller and taller and threatening to encase her. As she went to speak again she felt the ground move around her and she dropped her head a bit closer to the ground to save herself as she gained her sense of space again. "You first, you probably have a better idea of the world at the moment anyway," she said, lifting her head back up so that she was back up so that it was level with his. Something eery was moving around, and she could have sworn that there were wolves beginning to lurk through the shadows, coming closer and closer. Shelter was really needed now, and she knew that she would lose her way if she didn't have him. But why the world had changed so drastically she had absolutely no idea as to why the world was becoming so horrid. ==Into the mind . 213 words . Thank you deshy. . Rasta spoke, though it was merely to herself since Apodis glanced up into the sky, watching as the clouds swirled over head. Not really paying much attention to her. The clouds were dark and luminous, whatever was inside them was not going to be nice. He shuddered at the feeling, turning his gaze back to Rasta, at the same time that she seemed to loose balance. He pushed himself against her side, instinctively, holding her weight against his. He too felt the tremor inside the earth, though most would not feel it for it was rather too small of a movement. His protection instinc fell in place, acting rather like a soilder in charge. "You first, you probably have a better idea of the world at the moment anyway," He pulled away from her as she spoke. "Stay at my side, hold on and dont ever let go, He spoke deeply and more of a command than a thing to ask. He began moving in the direction she had appointed to him. Hoping she would stay close to him.

Rasta shifted her position once, now easily against his side. Lifting her head up she grasped a piece of his mane in her mouth and pushing her side closer to his as he moved forwards. It was strange, having someone else telling her what to do, but she was willing to follow if he was going to be her 'bodyguard'. Taking graceful steps forward she allowed her frame to stretch out so that way it matched his stride. Another cold gust of wind blew in and ruffled up her coat. She shifted herself around just a little as if to take in her surroundings, which obviously didn't work, and then continued on, easily following his lead.
