Aria watched them dissapear in the fog.
Follow them. Aria could not see them, but could still sense the fear bubbling off the stag, and she started to walk slowly forward, silent as can be, her tail lifted high, she didn't need it to drag on the ground and cause noise.
She breathed in softly, her emotion blank, clear. She didn't know where she was going though. No, no, she didn't. But she would stay calm. She was really good at that, at hiding her emotion. She quickly came to a smallish cave. Smallish? Where did that come from. Small/Medium more like, and she had never known it was here. She hared Rama call out to the stag who now tood their like an idiot foal who couldn't find their mother.
The stag quickly lunged behind some bushes, and Aria held back a snort. He shakily got back up. 'I'm...i'm Yisss.... Yiska, aanndd... I ... Cant go through there.'
Hah. What a baby. He couldn't even say his name... or go in a cave! A cave that any other horse would be fine with. She had been in caves where she had to crawl along on her knees. Why was the stag here anyways?
Aria's thoguths were obscured by twigs and leaves cracking, crunching. She couldn't see anyone else besides the fear-struck stag. But a few more cracks and Aria moved silently forward, and found yet another stag. She stayed far enough that he couldn't see her. He looked as if he was fighting something... something like puppet strings. What was going on? He steadied a bit and Aria snorted very softly, loud enough for him and him only to hear, before catiously walking forward, her face emotionless. Her long silvery forelock covering her blind eye.
---- 341 words' Yay, Thorny joined! Heh, Aria is being sneaky, they never knew she was following way behind XD... to her advantage the fear coming of Yiska really helped her... LOL'

The other stag stopped, refusing to come any further into the underground bunker. Ramaskith narrowed his eyes in annoyance, though the action couldn't been seen because of the darkness surrounding him and the outside world. The stallion jumped when he spoke, asking for his name, as if afraid. More so than he was before. Rama could smell the fear rolling off of him in waves. His stuttered name led him to believe he was afraid as well, claiming he couldn't go through. Ramaskith snorted, stomping up and towards the cave entrance, glaring at the creature. "You can, and you will," he ordered, huffing angrily. He wasn't going to deal with creatures that weren't going to do as he said. If they trespassed onto his land, they belonged to him. Though, if they didn't like the situation, they could try to leave.
He could see the mare outlined in the mist, her scent faintly mixed with the moisture. So she had chosen to follow after all. Her large frame might prove useful in battle if she learned to use it correctly. If she couldn't, then it would only fail her. Ramaskith's attention was quickly captured by the sounds of tqigs snapping nearby. His head shot to the side, quickly as if he were a bird. His eyes peirced the shadows, looking through the fog for the source of the sounds. If someone else was spying on him, they weren't going to live much longer. He wasn't going to tolerate it. There is no hiding in Orientalis; Lord Ramaskith's domain. The world needed a wake up call, to realize that this land was dangerous again and to respect these boundaries. They were placed there for a reason, of course, to keep him confined to this area and others out of his lands. Though, with his "disappearance," the East was no longer recognized as a threat. Other equines came and went as they liked. They would learn differently.
The large, ebony splotched grey form twisted to the side, marching forward. "Who dares hide in the shadows in the presence of your Lord?" he commanded, stopping a few feet from the dark creature and staring into the mist. "You need to learn some manners, when in proximity to your superiors," he said angrily, deciding whether to strike down the stranger now for his insolence. He quite liked that idea at the moment.

"Who dares hide in the shadows in the presence of your Lord? You need to learn some manners, when in proximity to your superiors." Death raged, sharp razors spewing from rotting lips. Sobrius closed his eyes as the voices whispered to him, a chorus of agreement that he must pledge himself, prove himself, to that who called himself Lord, to his King! His Death-King! Sobrius should first serve the puppeteers; then, then he may serve his master... Fear first coursed through him, stilling him, fear of those little threads connecting, fear of his blood staining Death. The Ghost was visible through the mist, his ebony stains dripping off of him, running in thick streams as they melted away with the thick fog. Then came the courage, the determination; he would serve; They told him to. He would serve that which commanded all, even though he was Hades, confined to the Underworld- whereas he should surely rule all. Sobrius was surely visible; thus the stag began to move closer to Death, to his Lord, head bowed in nothing but utter respect and inferiority- yet with the all ferocity of a warrior, aided by his determination. He would be perfect. He would serve his Lord like none other had served the Death King.
His voice was calm, smooth as he spoke. "There is no hiding, our Lord, merely utter reverence; the possibility that one of your standing should acknowledge our presence or demand us that brings us the greatest pleasure." They whispered soft words of agreement, pushing him to his knees and ordering him to bow before lifting him once more and pushing him back one step.
Hades always had a Persephone; but where was she? Where was his Persephone? Where was his Queen?
This entirely irrelevant thought caused Sobrius to snap his head around suddenly, eyes wide, searching, searching for nothing. He arched it back awkwardly as they pulled at him, his breath sharp and irregular until his strings slackened and he lowered his head again. Persephone. Persephone. Hades needed a Persephone. His eyes squeezed shut, forcing the thoughts away as he forced himself to regain his cool composure. Death king would be so displeased! Their Lord would be so angry!
Oh and how the ebony leaked and the Ghost poured his Darkness onto those who surrounded, drowning Sobrius in a pool of evil. He would drink it eagerly... If only the Lord would accept them.

Yiska jumped as a figure suddenly emerged form the darkness within the cave. He had clearly stumbled among the wrong lands, caves, darkness, mares. Everything he hated all together at once, this was not going well at all. He stepped backwards, confused, scared, unsure. Words filled inside his mind, just a long line of words, they meant nothing to him, it was like the world was speaking a different language to him. Everything around him was wrong, alien. He shouldn't have come here, he shouldn't have followed. Why did he always attract unwanted attention? Voices, too many voices! His mind buzzed, his vision was beinging to blur, turning black at its edges. Oh no! No Not now, dont come now please! He fought with it, trying to fight agaisnt this thing that hit him at strange times, mostly when he was put into a much too difficult situation. Everything around him was just not helping, he had to get away, he had to move. Can't move, cant run, stuck... His breathing quickened, his pulse raced, and he fell to the ground, in a spazzum of jolty movements. His eyes rolled into the back of his skull. The movements soon passed, not lastying all that long, he lay there in a heap, his breath weak, his eyes now closed, no longer the vast whiteness. Gone, gone into this other place, darkness... darkness all around, why... why me?

You've got a fast car... Is it fast enough we can fly away? 'Who dares hide in the shadows in the presence of your Lord? You need to learn some manners, when in proximity to your superiors.' Rama said, echoing off the cave slightly.
Aria snorted, no point on waiting in the mist, she knew he probably had seen her already, and the other two stags were having their own spaz attacks. Aria walked forward, head held high, her eyes mocking the stallion that was laying on the ground in a heap, and she snorted a laugh, before stopping just out of striking distance of Ramaskith, and bowed her graceful dished head.
'My lord,' she said, her voice soft, careful. Would he be mad at her delay? No, why would he? She was standing before him, a willing warrior. Though she would prefer not to kill, she knew she had to change, so change is here. She whisked her long silver tail, and her eyes gleamed as she watched the two stags having their own seperate fits. What was up with them? Wimps. In front of the lord. Oh, the Lord, the all mighty Lord. The wonderful Lord. She used to think different, she used the hate him with all her heart, but she would have to respect him. She had heared rumors, that a war? Was it a war? If it was he would win, and she needed to be on the winning side.
Aria arched her long neck, and pawed the ground, waiting for him to say something. The stag, Yiska.. was still huffing on the ground, and Aria had a desire to snap out at him. No, no, that was bad. She would most likely be punished for that. Punished by Lord Ramaskith. And that would not be good. Not at all. But it was so annoying, his rasping breath, the way he just collapsed, and god, how he was still just laying their, unprotected, weak, in front of the Lord.

"There is no hiding, our Lord, merely utter reverence; the possibility that one of your standing should acknowledge our presence or demand us that brings us the greatest pleasure." The strange stag spoke, dropping into a bow before him. Ramaskith stared at him. Why did the creature say 'us'? It didn't make sense and it set him on edge just a little. He didn't like the feeling the creature ebbed, though he couldn't help but wonder how he might be of use to him. A thump sounded behind him and Rama turned his head, seeing the other stag fall to the ground. Pathetic. He didn't think that one, Yiska? Would be much of a fighter. He sneered at the limp body, turning to the more interesting creature in front of him. "And what would I demand of you, unknown equine?" he asked, wondering what the other wished. Why had he come here, wanting to be notice by him?
"My Lord," the make spoke, Ramaskith turning to look at the forgotten creature. "What?" he asked, following her gaze to the fallen horse. "Let him be." he said, turning back to the other stag. Yiska didn't matter right now. He could deal with him later. This stranger needed his attention right now, though.

"And what would I demand of you, unknown equine?" Sobrius cocked his head in confusion. Shouldn't the Lord, the King of Death, already have something waiting in store? Puppet, listen to your master! they snapped, a whip lashing his side. Answer him! "We know you plan something great; a war, we believe; and they- we want me- us- to aid you in any way possible. I can fight if you wish; they adore you... We will fight for you, we will die for you, we will do anything for you, Lord."
His heart pounded in his chest, an infuriating rhythm growing ever louder and louder. What would the lord want of him? What would They demand of him?
Suddenly his attention was brought to a fallen horse, before They forced his attention back to his leader. His leader's shoulders were drenched in blood, blood of his own- that which would be shed. He watched in horror as a thick, dark tendril reached for him, spurring from Lord Ramaskith and drawing nearer and closer to his chest. He let out the smallest sound- hardly a change in breathing- as he fought to hold back the screams he wanted to release. It tore through layers and layers of muscle, skin, entwining itself around his bones, constricting his lungs, until finally it tore into his heart. His eye forced closed as They laughed as his pain, as They rejoiced at the bond. The cord grew thicker, stronger, pulsing as his blood dripped down and through the length of it. His eyes followed the cord, back to his Lord- and was met with the figure of Death himself. He took a step back from his Lord, and the cord only grew. Another step and it kept strong. He reared and bucked violently, letting out crazed whinnies as he fought to tear it out of his chest.
Nothing.
They were connected now, always connected; and would be until the day that he died.
And his Lord know not a moment of it.

Aria
'What?.. Leave him be.'
Rama snapped quickly, and Aria turned to look at the new equine with the Lord. And the unknown equine spoke as if forced, as if something else spoke through him.
'We know you plan something great; a war, we believe; and they- we want me- us- to aid you in any way possible. I can fight if you wish; they adore you... We will fight for you, we will die for you, we will do anything for you, Lord.'
So the rumors were true. There was going to be a war. And an extrondanary one. The Lord would win, easily, and Aria would be there the whole time, his most devoted follower, and she would get good praise, yes, yes, she would do all his orders.
Then her bloody devoted thoughts were interupted by a whisper in her head. Aria.... remember what I thought you. You not to be involved in this war. I thought you to be good. Leave, Rama is not sane, not normal, and you should not be a follower. You would never hurt anyone, physically or emotionally as a foal. What has gotten to you-?
Aria shook her head, interupting the voice. That was the past, the history. But as thoughts of her and her best friend racing in long luscious meadows filled her mind it made her condradict herself. Did she want to do this? Yes, he was the Lord. No, Aria... Aria snorted softly, she wanted the voice, the thoughts to go away. She had made her choice. She would be Lord Ramaskiths best follower. The past was history, and she forced the thoughts and voice in a cage far away, in the very back of her mind.
Suddenly, it was dark, and the wind tossed her mane and tail, getting quicker, and was soon howling, and threatened to push Aria over, even in her 17hhs and strong frame. No rain, but flashes of lightning and howling wind that stung Aria's eyes like a thousand bees. A long tounge of light flashed in front of Aria's eyes and the ground started to moan. Moan? And now it was shaking. Another earthquake? It subsided before giving one massive shake that threw Aria tumbling into a tree, but she had someone was still standing up. The tree had stopped her from falling over, but the rough bark tore long gouges into her unique pelt. Aria looked over, the other 3 were on the ground, and debree filled where they had been standing. Aria tried to move but was stuck, her body pinned between a huge tangle of trees and some big boulders. Aria nickered to the other three, were they okay? Aria pushed her nose against the boulders but none moved except a few small ones. Aria sighed. The only way to get out of here would to have at least 1 or 2 more horses help her.
The wind still howled and lashed at her. Lightning still struck, and the ground shook almost every minute, some small and some big. Aria just hoped the others were okay, her foal nature starting to come back just a little bit.

"We know you plan something great; a war, we believe; and they- we want me- us- to aid you in any way possible. I can fight if you wish; they adore you... We will fight for you, we will die for you, we will do anything for you, Lord."
Ramaskith eyed the stag curiously. So there were others? He stepped closer to him, hearing his heart beat loudly in his chest. Was the creature afraid of him? Rama smiled, the light colored stag interested him, though he knew nothing about him. He offered his allegiances though, and that meant something. He nodded once, deciding that if the stag annoyed him or betrayed him, a visit from Vondur would solve the issue.
The area seemed to become darker, the wind picking up as the weather turned bad. It was winter after all, the storms moving in to blanket the ground with snow. Lightning struck the ground, thunder rumbling as the clouds billowed and moved forward. "Come then," he said, turning to descend into the cave underground. The ground shook beneath his feet and he stood completely still, locking his legs to prevet himself from falling. A tree feel in front of them and he snorted, angry with the sudden protest from the ground. He heard someone call for help, was that the mare? He began to walk around the tree that had fallen, his path directed for the cave. The ground stopped shaking and remained still as he stepped. He turned to glance over at the mare once she was in view. She was pinned by a tree trunk and rocks, unable to struggle free. The wind continued to whip at them, the ground shaking again with every strike of lightning. Rama narrowed his eyes, debating whether the mare was important enough to save.
Vondur suddenly appeared next to him, growling. Ramaskith looked down at the spector, the large lion form rippling and shifting as the ground swayed. He glared at the apparation, turning to assist the mare. Perhaps she would be of some help if she fought for him, her tall frame having an advantage on the battlefield. He trotted over, turning and swiftly kicking at the truck, the mass rolling away easily before he turned and trotted back toward the cavern. Useless creatures this lot appeared to be.
