Words don't come easily... Like I Love You, I Love You, I Love You..... Bri looked up as a bird cried out above, soaring, it's life easy, so easy. What would it be like to soar above everything? Bri would give anything for that. The soft splash of the waterfall soothed her thoughts, the long grass swaying around her knees. The smell of fall, the bright, warm colors filling her mind. One of her favorite times of year. She was so peaceful, so calm.
Bri walked towards the edge of the pool that came from the waterfall, her bright blue eyes staring back at her. She reached her muzzle down and started to drink. The water was ice. It froze her tounge, then her coating her throat and down into her stomach. But it felt good. It brang her back into reality. Snow was starting to gather at the tops of mountains, and it would be winter soon enough. Eck. Winter, cold, lifeless, no color.
Bri slowly raised her head, and watched the waterfall, fall down into the pool she stood next to now. Bri took a step forward, and the water lapped at her ankles, very cold. So cold. But refreshing. She loved to come and swim here in the summer, and she suddenly plunged forward, ignoring the icy water stinging her sides, running until she couldn't touch anymore, and swam slowly, her eyes twinkled in happiness, the water numbed her, but it slowly faded away, and she swam around. Others might think she was insane, swimming in an icy pool, in circles, but she loved it. Her mane and tail floated behind her, and she grudgingly made her way back because the loss of feel at the bottom of her legs, which made her clumbsy as she walked out, and shook out her coat.
At least it was 74. And it warmed her back, it was high for a day like this in the fall. She rolled a few times, trying to dry herself, before standing back up and lowering her dished head and beginning to graze on the long luscious grass.

So, it seemed that Ivan was trying to avoid me at school today, made me really depressed, and when I did get to talk to him for about 2 minutes (with my friend) he wasn't acting his normal way towards me, but towards her :(
Yeah.

Apodis could hear the reinforce sound of trickling water, the scent of another gently carried in by the cool breeze. He lifted his elegant dished face, glancing up into the overcast skies, sun light streamed through the thinning clouds, though it was late autumn the sun was warm but the air was cold. The ground hardening from the cold nights, sometimes even bringing a small hope of snow and ice. Winter was going to be a harsh one if it was this cold already. Lowering his cranium back to the horizen he dollars the sound of running water mixed with that of another equine. Pushing forward across the icey paths was becoming harder with each encroaching day. He slides across some ice, stumbling along as he hit solid ground, though managed to keep his balance. He soon reached the pools of clear water, though today they seemed black and uninviting. And there laying just infront of the plunge pool, was the other he had scented through the carrying winds. They seemed a little wet, like she may have fallen into the icey waters. Instinctively he panicked, trotting over to her large frame. "are...are you okay? You didn't fall into the icey waters did you? " He stood and watched her carefully.

Ixori liked to pretend she was invisible, stalking along the river banks with her head carried high. It was a nice thought that her aloneness was made complete by invisibility. Suppose she truly was invisible, but lived in the company of many. Would it differ from her life style now, or would she remain in her own seclusion, physically present if not responsively? Not that it mattered, but it was an interesting thought to mull over. Her play-acting was a trait carried over from fillyhood, something that she had never really shed. There were many things that she had lost when she was young, so much that she had missed as a filly. Sometimes she wondered if she was trying to regain them now, free to do so as she lived her own secluded life, boundaries a thing of the distant past. So involved was Ixori in her silent stalking, that she failed to notice the two equines right around the river's bend. She had just dropped her head below her withers, her hooves falling lightly on the sand when she saw them. Surprise gave way to slight embarrassment as she stopped in her tracks. The very last thing she wanted was to intrude. Switching her tail awkwardly, she almost retreated, but something stopped her. As she stood, unsure of whether to stay or leave, her eyes played over the scene in front of her. The mare, a pretty seal bay, looked so content, so happy, as she cropped the short autumn grass. While perhaps in truth, the mare was no more innocent then Ixori, the appearance her of dainty form beside the swiftly flowing river made Ixori hesitate. The stallion said something to the mare in a tone that sounded sweetly protective. A pang of longing shot through Ixori's heart as she stood as though rooted to the ground. What was wrong with her?

Bri's head shot up at the sound of a voice, so far it forced her to take a few steps back. She hadn't heared him approach. How stupid of her. 'are...are you okay? You didn't fall into the icey waters did you?'
A small stag stood before her, watching her carefully. Bri snorted a laugh. 'No, no, I was stupid enough to run and take a swim in the water. I'm fine.' Bri smiled faintly, but in the wind she smelt another. A mare. Bri's blue eyes traveled over to the other mare standing back where the bushes ended, stock still, her coal black pelt gleaming in the sun. Bri whinnied out to her, whisking her long smooth black tail. 'Do you need some help finding something?' Bri asked, watching her. She took a few steps towards her, and started a slow trot, over to her. She didn't know if the stag was following her or not, but she stopped a bit back, careful not to scare her, and smiled slightly, the wind blowing back her mane and tail. She shivvered slightly, her coat and hair still damp and cold, the wind didn't help.
Bri looked up, watching the clouds, blinking in the sudden brightness as the sun came out, before lowering her head again and snatching a mouthful of grass. Waiting for either of them to respond, she started watching the waterfall again.

Well, Ixori had been spotted. Not that she minded much, though she had not been planning to mix with other horses. Still, she still felt almost guilty at her intrusion. It didn't matter though, not really. Pricking up her ears, Ixori paused a moment before replying to the mare before her. "Finding something? Oh no, I am not looking for anything. In fact, I'm not doing much at all at the moment, simply meandering the lands. Cataracta Montes is a beautiful place and I mean to stay here for quite some time." Until Ixori had said so, she hadn't known that she wanted to stay in Cataracta Montes. But at hearing her own voice speak the words aloud, she realized that it was true. Probably because she had such a fascination with its cascading streams and waterfalls. She couldn't help but smile a bit at seeing the droplets of water still clinging to the mare's sleek coat. "You took a dip?" She asked, enquiringly. Ixori's love of water did not extend to the freezing liquid of Cataracta Montes and she couldn't help but shiver at the mere thought of standing in its waters voluntarily, during the later months of autumn. She glanced curiously over at the stallion, still standing in the distance. She considered asking if the mare knew him, but decided against it. Better not to pry into the affairs of others.

Apodis watched from afar. The two mares seemed to great each other in a very formal and nervous-mainly coming from the later mare. He glanced into the encroaching storm the wind picking up his thick, glossy mane, carrying it out in odd but a magnificent way. He stood rather proud and handsome looking as he seemed to keep to himself. Though the mare from before had spoken to him, she seemed more interested in the other mare. He sighed gentlly to himself. It wasn't often that he was ignored and so easily swept away like that you would of a unwanted fly buzzing around your ears. He trudged forward into the mares conversation. "Sorry for intruding like this, But I believe its about time we moved on from here and potentially take shelter. The storms are a coming and they arnt going to be such nice ones at that. And just like he had it all queda out, thunder rumbled in the distance and the land seemed to slide beneath them, like that of a trap door being slid open ready to swallow them all up.

Shock me like an electric eel Baby girl Turn me on with your electric feel 'Finding something? Oh no, I am not looking for anything. In fact, I'm not doing much at all at the moment, simply meandering the lands. Cataracta Montes is a beautiful place and I mean to stay here for quite some time.' Bri smiled, it was a beautiful place, and she bobbed her head in agreement. 'You took a dip?' Bri laughed, tinkling bells, throwing her wet mane into the air. 'Why yes, I did... not a very smart choice, but too late, hahah.'
Bri's cream ears flickered back as the stallion started to come over. 'Sorry for intruding like this, But I believe its about time we moved on from here and potentially take shelter. The storms are a coming and they aren’t going to be such nice ones at that.' And with his words, a blinding flash of light flooded the almost black sky. Thunder immediately following. No rain. The wind started to pick up, making Bri shiver. None of the birds were out, all sounds had ceased.
The wind licked at her dished head, and a loud sudden crack made Bri reared up, the whites of her eyes showing for a second. She didn't like thunderstorms. And the wind pushed her over, at least the grass had a little bit of cushion for her back as she landed. The wind started to howl, whip, lash at them, and Bri nodded at the stallion, and started to trek towards the waterfall.
'There’s- cave- waterfall.' Only some words were heard as she yelled them to the others, the wind taking they away. Cave behind waterfall. No, they'd just all get wet, and pulling yourself out of deep water into slippery rock wouldn't be easy.
Bri started trekking towards another cave, it was further away, but more sheltered and bigger for the three of them. It didn't take long to get there, and Bri shivered again as she stepped out of the wind. Of course, she just had to take a swim. The cafe was covered in spongy moss and Bri huffed as she leaned against the sidewall. She watched the storm through the vines that acted as a curtain, not many knew of this cave, as the vines and branches that covered it, covered it well. Bri had merely leaned on the spot and fell through.
The wind was ferocious, with flashes of lightning and cracks of thunder. Bri lowered her head, her eyes dropping slightly, they burned, she has been away for more then a day. But she threw her head up as the ground underneath her pale hooves started to shake. Another earthquake? What was this, a personal nightmare from hell? The ground stopped, then not long after started to shake even harder, making Bri slide down the rough stone wall, her side burned, it had rubbed some skin off. She lay in the ground on a heap, she didn't feel like getting up and lay there, big pearly tears running down her nose. She wanted this all to go away.
Please, please, please. Go away. Please. Not me. Not me. Why? Why me? Why now? Thats all that went Bri's mind, totally forgetting about the other two equines that shared the cave with her. Did she even know their names? No.
Please, please, please. Go away. Please. Not me. Not me. Why? Why me? Why now? Please, please, please. Go away. Please. Not me. Not me. Why? Why me? Why now....?

Ixori only half heard the mare's reply. How had the storm snuck up so quickly? She shivered again, this time for real, as the menacing clouds spat their first freezing droplets down upon the equines. "Sorry for intruding like this, But I believe its about time we moved on from here and potentially take shelter. The storms are a coming and they aren’t going to be such nice ones at that."It was the stallion, looking slightly miffed at Ixori. Instinctively, she cringed. No, no, she shouldn't do that. She could easily stand up in the face of danger, in the face of anything except negative feelings directed towards herself. But no, those days were long past. She just needed to move on. "Then let's!" she cried, "This looks like a big one!" Before anyone had a chance to move, the light dun's ears flattened as simultaneous a bolt of light split the sky. She rose on her hind legs, her front ones pawing the air. Ixori took a step back just to be safe, staring at her in surprise. It was just lightning. "There’s- cave- waterfall!" the frightened mare called once all four hooves were back on earth. Then she was away like a flash, skimming over the earth. Ixori had almost reached the cave when the first tremor struck. Then all was slipping and sliding, losing her balance and regaining it until she was safely in. She skidded past the vines, only to run smack into the dun. "I...I'm so sorry!" Ixori exclaimed, realizing that the mare was crying as she lay in a heap on the stone floor. Ixori picked herself up, uncomfortable, and looked away, unsure of what to do. She hated situations like this where she had no idea of how to respond or comfort.

Apodis followed the mare, happy that she seemed to know this place. But a cave, behind a, waterfall? Would that not be rather pointless? Getting out the storm to stay dry but having to get wet to get there. He might as well just stay out the storm. They soon reached the innards of a cave, though it was not the one the dun had said about, he was sure glad about that too. Though in a way it was too behind a waterfall, though this one was green and not as wet as water. Apodis pushed his nose through the curtain of vines, then the rest of his small buckskin frame shortly followed. However he had to half halt and balance himself. The dun was laying on the ground, possible due to the result of the tremors in the ground. Steadying ones self he knelt down next to the dun, who lay crying upon the hard cold ground. "Don't worry, it's all okay we are safe here. Sushh now rest" he curled round into her shape, warming her and gently nuzzled at her neck. Comforting her.
