Goltin's large hooves carried him between shrubs and tree trunks at a brisk, winding trot. Prickly branches greedily grabbed at his mane and tail, occasionally snapping and adding themselves to the collection of debris gathered in his matting hair. This attribution to his appearance made him look unkempt and reckless, but Goltin disregarded the snagging trees and worked through the dense jungle of brush, his wake leaving a trail of hoof prints and scattered leaves. There was no particular destination Goltin wished to be reaching, however his trot portrayed enthusiasm and willingness. Nevertheless, he eventually broke to the opposite side of the tree line, where he broke gait back to a dragging walk. His eyes scanned the clearing of near-barrenness, memorizing its layout and land features for future encounters. After all, he preferred staying in one place than several at a time.

And you should know that the lies won't hide your flaws No sense in hiding all of yours You gave up on your dreams along the way... The black mare slid through the shadows of the trees - her tail intertwining with the roots and the leaves but not becoming marred with their substances. She held back an airy laugh. A stag was in the air. Maybe he would be good bait for her to grab and get for Rama? No. She would just mess around with him. That sounded like fun. Pushing herself forwards she was careful not to make any noise with her petite hooves as she edged closer and closer to him. Her manned wolf patronus was trekking along behind her - creating an ominous blue glow but not causing her to be illuminated. She had to laugh at that and suddenly the world seemed to become quite a bit creepier. "My dear, dear equine. Why is it that no one can learn that the shadows are of the worst places to be walking 'round upon." she said - her voice bouncing off of the trees around her. It was quite hilarious to see them squirm in fear as she edged in, them not realizing where it was she was coming from. It was a good toy. A very good play toy if they even showed the fear and then suddenly dropped it all when they realized it was but a mere mare. They assumed she wasn't dangerous - but she really was. Very dangerous if she so pleased to be.
Her glowing, see-through Manned-Wolf moved ahead of her, bounding into the stag's clearing and letting out a sharp howl which would have pained Raine's ears if it had not been that this glowing figure was a part of her soul. A tiny laugh escaped her lips as the wolf snarled, raising its lips and baring its teeth. "I dare you to come at the wolf. I dare you to find what comes from it." she said - her voice once again bouncing around in the trees. A short movement and she was behind this stag, appearing just outside of his kicking range and watching as the wolf circled him. This would definitely be fun. "and say hello to the poor mare who is stuck in this mess. No one seems to want to help a trapped mare under the confining watch of such an animal." she said, her voice turning pleading - even scared.
But it was all part of the act. The act to get the stag under her thumb...

Goltin's ears twitched toward a frilly echo behind him, followed by his whole head and neck angled to an origin in which he had heard a booming voice, though he particularly was unsure of the faint words that loomed in the air. Under seconds of revision in his mind, the stag had decoded the dialog from deep somewhere in the trees. Finally the source of these words were clarified and he saw the (Mr. glowy pants? Can that be his alias from now on? I'm not too fond of manned-wolf yet. /: ), and moments after he saw the glow of its ghastly figure, his mind went blank with a splitting noise that hurt his ears and his mind. Even his thoughts seemed to erupt within his skull. In seconds, the noise was over as soon as it had began, but the newer company that joined the wolf was just as intimidating. With an weary inspection of the mare, he memorized the color of her coat and every differing marking from the ebony that matched his own. Something about her presence screamed danger, and yet her intentions poked his heart with apprehension. He instinctively moved a step back, realizing in a moment two things: The mare was now behind him, and that the wolf was circling. Grudgingly listening to her pleas, he felt a sudden stab of ignorance deep in his heart, wanting just to be confined by himself again. The presence of these two displeased him, and he pinned his ears curtly. Once he comprehended the mare's plea, he lowered his head defensively, not sure if he should watch the mysterious mare or her sidekick, because he didn't trust either. When he came to realizing that they were not a team, and that rather than protecting her, the wolf was more perhaps a burden to her, with gritted teeth he threw himself at the nuisance, confusion subduing him as the absence of touch seized him. don't you say goodbye don't you say goodbye i'll pick up these broken pieces till i'm bleeding... The wolf let out a laugh, wagging it's tail before snarling once. It snapped out at him - knowing it couldn't harm him before curling up on the ground. He disappeared as quickly as he had appeared and then the shadows took over the lands again. She let out a snort of relief before looking to the stag. "Thank you, though I don't know how long it shall last. I am Raine," she said, dropping her head in a bow and waiting to see what it was which he might say in return. He seemed to be awfully put off by the whole situation - but she hoped that the disappearance of her patronus would put him at a bit more ease. After all - playing just wasn't as fun when they were tense. She gave one short swish of her tail - her scent slowly being released from it causing her to stiffen up a little. She would pretend she had forgotten it was that time of year, though she hadn't. He wouldn't know the difference.
She let out a held breath as she felt a cold wind blow in, pulling some of the snow onto her black coat before she allowed her blue eyes to glance up at him. "Who might you be?" [/blockquote] ==Into the mind .221 words .Raine is highly amused - just not showing that she is...[/size]

For several reason the stallion grew statuesque: The wolf was gone, the mare's scent, and her voice now inquiring him for answers. With small and cautious gestures, he returned the small acknowledgement by giving her a small bob of the head. In response to her last question, he straightened his back and licked his muzzle once, cautious not to catch more of her scent as he breathed humbly, "I am Goltenian Wrath, although since I haven't been addressed by my full name for a few years, please call me Goltin." Now that they were close, he longed to evade. She knew all that he was able to offer her, and yet he was still confused about why she may be curious about him and his ways; it all seemed suspicious. He disregarded the sketchiness in her attitude. He eyed her expectantly, wanting her alias in return.

Nyx trotted anxiously through the dark woods, prickled branches snagging her mane and coat. She twitched as a branch hit her face. She heard other horses around her, she looked around trying to see the thick woods. 'Nothing' she thought.
She stopped again, breathing out slowly, she walked over to the nearest clearing. She stumbled over branches scattered over the ground. The branches crackled and scattered underneath her weight. 'No quiet entrances' she thought to herself again. As she looked around the clearing, she heard the horses more clearly, moving in the direction of the horses , she neighed, sniffing the ground suspiciously. Figuring out that it was a mare and stallion, she walked on towards them.
