He nodded as well, agreeing with her. She let out a small sigh. At least he seemed to think it was the better thing to do as well, so she wasn't completely stupid. Though, then he continued, his thoughts going where he's had before. They couldn't just stand out here, when they already had wolves venture out after them. It wasn't the smartest thing to do. She nodded, "We should go now, while you still can't feel it," she gave a small smile and turning, waiting for him to try to walk before she did. If she had to, she would try to help, though he was much larger than her and she probably wouldn't be able to for very far.

'We should go know, while you still can't feel it,' she said before turning to give him a small smile. He smiled back and hobbled forward, resting his maw on her withers while limping along. Feeling was slowly coming back but he gritted his teeth and kept moving.

"We should find shelter so we don't have to move again later," Cy said, glancing ahead past the trees. A cave. That would do. There were so many around Forma Silvestris. And… there was one ahead. He hobbled forward, his leg starting to throb. "Just… just a bit further. That cave." Cy said, gritting his teeth and drawing nearer the wide cave.

He reached the entrance and lowered himself to the ground at the back, snorting and laying his leg out. He needed something under it, to support it and to keep it off the dirty and cold ground. Maybe Catori could get some grass? "Hey, could you get something to support my leg on? Just like a tuft of grass or something?" Cy asked, looking up at her with a small smile.

He limped forward, resting against her as they walked. She was glad she could be of some help, though she still wished she could do more. She nodded in agreement when he suggested they found shelter. It would be the easiest. They wouldn't have to most again, expecially if it decided to rain sometime soon. It was autumn, afterall, and the air was slowly growing cooler even though it was still early in the day. He spotted one and she moved in that direction, noticing how his sentences were becoming broken. Once they made it to the cave he immediately lowered himself to the ground, asking her to get something to support his leg. She nodded quickly a few times, turning and trotting away, glad to help. She returned moments later with a piece of moss, deciding that the grass that was still around was not sufficient. "Are you alright?" She asked, setting the spongy plant on the ground next to his leg, gently moving it underneath. "How much does it hurt?" She moved to stand closer to his head. "And don't lie," she said, eying him, "There is no reason to say it doesn't hurt when it does!" She huffed. "I didn't get a chance to say thank you either, so thank you. I dont know where I'd be if you hadn't of been there." She smiled, touching her muzzle to his shoulder before turning and settling onto the ground across from him as well.

I don't know where I'd be if you hadn't of been there,' She said, smiling as she touched her maw to his shoulder and settling herself onto the ground.

He saw them all the time, and he glanced at Catori, who seemed to be shivering slightly as the temperatures started to drop. Cyril scooted closer to her, pressing his side against her slightly, "You never did answer my question- are you okay?"[/color]

She nodded, yes the wolves were abundant here. Though, it was quite strange for them to come out in the day time, even if it was early morning and they were just heading home. She only hoped that no one else was attacked, and that the wolves would remain in their dens as they should. Just another reason she didn't like the cold, the more reasons predators had to venture out. She shivered slightly, half because of the thoughts of wolves and other creature out prowling for food during the day, and half because the air was cooling quickly, the temperature dropping by the minute even as the sun rose. The autumn breezes were shockingly cold. Cy seemed to notice though and moved closer to her. She smiled weakly, his body much warmer than hers and already helping the small tremors that had begun.

"You never did answer my question- are you okay?" She let out a short laugh, smiling and turning to look at him. Though, she hadn't noticed just how close he had gotten and was startled to find his eyes right in front of her. They were blue, like her own, but stood out so much more because of the dark mahogany that surrounded them. She momentarily forget his question. "I-I...I'm ..okay," she said, completely tongue-tied.

The mare let out a small laugh, turning to look at him. She paused as their eyes met, and a small smile played off of Cyril's maw. 'I-I...I'm ..okay,' she said softly, and Cy nodded. "That's good, wouldn't want you to be hurt-"

[/color] Cy said softly, bumping his maw against her shoulder.

Cy shifted, stretching his hind leg out yet still leaning into Catori slightly. He yawned, flicking his ears to the side and down a bit- looking like an overgrown puppy. He laughed slightly before teasing the mare's forelock and flicking his tail against her side in a "game." He paused, looking out the cave entrance to the sun that was almost against the horizon, the sky a nice pastel swirl of reds, golds, and deep blues.

She turned her head away, smiling slightly. "Thanks to you," she said, bumping back against him in the same way he had just done to her. He moved, shifting into a more comfortable position. She glanced over at his leg, feeling somewhat guilty for what had happened. He didn't seem to mind it too much though, playfully reaching out and flipping her forelock and swishing his tail against her stomach. She snorted softly, shaking her head to reorder the hairs before giggling and flicking her tail back against him. She saw that the outside of the cave had caught his attention and turned to see the rays of sunlight. She smiled briefly, then set her head on the ground as the gray clouds rolled forward, over the sun. The temperature was immediately cooler with the absence of heat from the sun, and the winter winds were picking up. Catori could hear them gusting through the trees nearby and she sighed softly, turning her head away from the entrance to sit next to Cy's foreleg. She shivered, mentally cursing the colder weather that had rolled in. She hated winter, always had. Everything was so cold and lifeless. She shivered again, pulling her nose close to her chest as the sensitive skin started to grow colder. She sighed, opening her eyes for a moment to glance at Cy before closing them again. At least she wasn't alone this winter.

He nodded at her words, feeling her maw bump him back. He grinned as she shook her forelock and giggled, flicking her own tail against him. He snorted a small laugh, before watching her curl in closer as the wind picked up outside, dark clouds rolling in with the winter weather. Damn, winter time again. Cyril's nares flared as he tucked his head in like Catori had done, closing his eyes and letting the darkness slowly creep in with the cold as he pressed his body into Catori's. He shivered slightly, and suddenly the wind picked up, howling and whistling, causing Cy's eyes to flash open and his head to snap up. He looked out, seeing the dark clouds blanketing everything. It was like a nightmare, and it made his insides turn inside out. A storm was coming. At least he had shelter... at least he had her....

Cyril's head shot up and she turned to look outside as well, seeing nothing but white as it flew past the opening of their shelter. At least they were somewhat protected. She was glad Cy had suggested they find shelter, instead of staying where they were before. They would have surely died. Another way he'd saved her. She sucked in a breath as more of the cold air whistled across her, turning her head and tucking it between Cy's shoulder and her own. He was so much warmer than her! Her icy muzzle thawing slowly against his pelt. She shivered again, shifting close to him. "So c-cold," she mumbled against his shoulder. It was so cold. ==Author's Comments . Word Count 161 .
