The mare stood in the shadow, shaking her head lightly to herself. She was looking around with her pale blue eyes, still not sure about what all was going on. Taking a long and deep breath, she closed her eyes for just a second. Shaking her head for a moment, she pawed at the earth. The smokey dun mare wasn't sure about what she wanted to do really. She was scared out of her mind and wasn't sure about what she wanted to do. Smirking for just a second to herself, she nuzzled her leg because it itched. A tail flicked upon her rump as she stood there, looking around trying to find something.
A darker, thick cream tail hit her rump with a loud swish. You wouldn't think twice about getting hit with that tail, it would slash you open if she did it hard enough. Her mane was just as thick and fell down past her shoulders, but it was clean kept. A deep breath came from her muzzle for a moment, she lowered her head towards the ground. She was scared to move any farther, after all she had just lost everything that she ever knew. Her whole body was frozen for now as she looked and listened for something, anything to come near her.

The golden mare picked up her pace. She needed some time to rest - to forget about this war. It was almost too much to really even take in. Her mind needed those moments of rest. The moments which she had been so very, very deprived of. Flicking her tail she bounced a little faster. Farther away from the war. Farther away from the deaths. Farther away from the pain. Farther away from the screams. She was glad, oh so very glad, that she wasn't scared with all the sights which everyone else must be seeing. She could just feel the forms of the deceased - she didn't have to see the blood, the crimson as she had heard it called. She never wanted to experience that. Never. Not once. Shifting into a slower gate as she felt the air thin and the tightness escape she walked out a bit farther. It wasn't long before she felt another form just standing there - a larger form. A much larger form than her petite 14.2 hh self. Taking in a short breath she continued to move forwards before gently calling out a "Hello!" to the new equine. The smokey cream was really scared out of her mind, not sure of what she was going to do. But then something came almost out of no where towards her, causing her to shake her head softly. She looked around before spying a golden mare coming her way. She took a long, deep breath and smiled lightly. The mare was shorter than she was, which really was a surprise. Shaking her head lightly, she snorted and waited to see if this mare was nice. The mare spoke a polite greeting and she could only smile. "Hello to you too!" she spoke in a loud, but very happy voice. You could tell that she was a very sheltered girl growing up by the way she acted. She was naive in almost everything that she did, which almost didn't make such to most. "What's your name?" she asked lightly.

Rasta flicked her tail just a tad bit before stepping in closer. Her forelock covered one of her eyes while the other blind one seemed to train itself on this mare's face. "Rasta. Your's?" she returned, shaking out her coat which seemed to despise her and not want to be growing in for the actual winter weather which was flooding about through these lands. She hated being this cold - but it was better than being closer to the war, closer to the threat of death. "Are you lost?" she questioned, tilting her head ever so gently to the side as the cool winds blew in and messed with her mane and tail.
