zoet Zoet calmly meandered around the lush forest as the sky was growing darker. "I wonder if it shall rain," she thought. Rain was one thing that truly overjoyed the chestnut mare. To her it seemed like such a gift, and she treasured it thoroughly.
She was in a pleasant mood, only seeking something to pass the time. Zoet longed for anything to pass the time. Her mind was growing restless and she was becoming stir-crazy. A twig snapped under her petite hooves and the thick vegetation around her absorbed the sound.

Wichita
The colt trailed up a green slope, the moss not acting as a proper grip on his tottering hooves. He peered around through the veils of green and brown, not another equine in sight. He took a moment to sniff the air, sorting the strange new aromas, and searching frantically for one that could be another horse. The thick powering smell of rain over threw his attempts. He cast a light blue glance at the sky that occasionally peeked through the dense cover of arm-like branches.
A storm, he thought. The worst time to be alone. The colt hardened his expression and pressed onward, occasionally leaping over fallen trunks and large boulders. 113 words

a v e i a; the air smelled like the promise of rain and the musk of forest. she was fine with both things, rain was rain, a forest was a forest. you couldn't change what was already there. however, if the rain were to turn into a storm. than she would worry. because storms were one of the things she really hated.
she shivered at the thought. she couldn't pinpoint were her fear of storms came from. weather it was the noise or the destruction they left behind. all she knew was she tried to avoid them at all costs. and avoiding was what she was trying to do. so she kept walking through the forest, always keeping an eye out for the things that would do her harm.

zoet The sky darkened promisingly within the next day. Zoet was very pleased with how the weather was panning out and she had a dance in her step because of this. She hadn't heard any other horses in a while. The overgrown forest was her sheild against others, both in ways of sound and visibility. Zoet liked it this way.
She had found a stream where she was washing and drinking. Water always seemed to calm her, and she felt at ease when she was around any type of water. Her personality even mirrored water, and the properties it has. Looking around the dense forest Zoet suddenly felt lonely. She hadn't seen another soul in quite a while, and usually this didn't bother her, but now she longed for some sign of life. Any sign.

Wichita
The colt had kept a steady trot for a while now, squinting through the cover of drizzle in the forest. The sky above was growing even darker, the clouds becoming violent and unforgiving. His small muscles twitched. The hurried sounds of the woodland creatures could be heard echoing up and down the surrounding trees. They were smart to seek shelter.
Witicha then picked up the scent of another horse. Or was it a deer? He quickened his pace slightly. There was no doubt, another horse was near.
The trickling sound of a stream entwined with the rhythmic drips of water falling from the leaves over head. The colt picked up into a canter, being careful to avoid tripping on the over-grown foliage. 123 words

a v e i a; her head tilted, nostril's flaring as she smelt another horse...or horses. her hooves brought her to a stream cutting through the forest. it was peaceful, catching the rain that had started to fall a few moments ago. two horses were already by the water, a colt and a mare. for a moment, she assumed that they were mother and son, but than cast the thought out of her mind.
she glanced about for a moment, wondering if she should step forward. she decided to, walking toward and stopping under a tree. some sort of protection against the rain. tilting her head, she proposed a greeting. "hello."

zoet The river rushed underneath Zoet's hooves. The water felt cool beneath her sturdy hooves. She heard the mumbled greeting and turned to look at the person who had adressed her. The slender mare looked to be peaceful enough, and with a nod of the head Zoet acknowledged her presence.
Zoet liked to have her space, and didn't like to offer words if it wasn't necessry. Sometimes she did get lonely, and wanted company, but this didn't happen often. Even when she did want company she only required it for a limited amount of time.

Wichita
He looked half mad as the came to the river. His eyes were wide with curiosity and a touch of fear, but that soon vanished. His small heart was pounding as he stopped. Once his milky blue eyes took in the scene his ears pinned back.
He was now in the presence of two mares...as if one wasn't bad enough. He snorted and cursed them in his head. Quickly his glance darted away from them and he started walked closer to the bank of the river. Wichita eyed the current. It was probably too swift and powerful for him to cross. He took a small drink, staring angrily forward. 111 words

a v e i a; she couldn't help but frown with distaste at the young stallion. rudeness wouldn't get you very far. nor would ignorance. though she supposed that if he wanted to be that way ,he would. because there was no way she could change someone else's attitude. at least the mare acknowledged her with a nod of her head. something that aveia returned before pressing up against the trunk of the tree. making care to have her good eye facing the two, and not the blind one.
than she watched the rain fall down in heavy drops. cascading down and plopping on the leaves overhead that formed a sort of umbrella for her. a few did make it through the gaps in the leaves, hitting her and making her wince each time. otherwise, she was just glad for the company, even if one was a rude stallion.

zoet The rain calmed Zoet. She looked over the mare and stallion both a second time. The stallion seemed pompus and arrogant, not something that Zoet liked in anyone. She discarded the stallion then and took attention to the mare, of whom she had a slight chance of not completley disregarding. At first glance she didn't appear to be anything special, but she looked plesant, and seemed to be warm and friendly.
Finally Zoet decided to walk towards the mare and introduce herself properly.
Hello, and who might you be?
