My Hearts A Stereo...
It Beats For You So Listen Close.....
Aria briskly trotted forward, ignoring the fact that her tail was dragging along the ground, and catching in twigs and brush. Tears filled her eyes. She didn't need him. No, she would survive.
But she wanted him.
Wanted him so bad.
Especially now he was gone.
Her heart ached and she pushed on faster, harder, trying to remember the thing she loved, the wind on her face. She momentarily forgot about it all, and she whinnied joyously. Throwing her tail up like a silvery banner. She slowed and snorted softly as a butterfly landed on it, and she watched it take off, before starting to run again. It was warm for the west, the colors were bright, and wonderful. It had been now that she had met him. The thought threw her to a stop, her eyes stinging. No, no, no. She shook her bald face, trying to rid of the thought. But it stuck like glue, and she breathed deeply, hoarsly, as the fresh memory came into her head.
Screams filled the air. Foals that lost their mothers. And blood. Blood everywhere. The sound of ripping flesh, piercing screams, and the smell of fear, anger and death. She turned, where had he gone? She scanned her eyes for him. There he was, laying in a pool of his own blood. Aria screamed and ran over to him. He looked up, his eyes sad, but loving, as his breathing stopped, tears stung her eyes, and spilled down and dropping on his pelt. No, no, this couldn't happen, it was-
Aria found herself falling, she had gone too far, and she thudded to the ground. She had scrambled and stepped in a deep hole, the thought obscuring her mind, and now she lay against the grass and leaves, tears blurring her right eye. She had lost the other in that battle. She didn't want to get up. What was the point? She didn't need to be anywhere. Where was she anyways? In the North? The East? No, the east is where she usually stayed, and was always covered with fog. She couldn't be this week. She was a warrior. Not a loser, not a wimp. Damn. It was hard now, to even think of that time, as if it had just happened yesterday. She slowly pulled herself up, shaking her pelt, and standing tall. She ignored the stabbing thoughts and made her way forward.[/center]
