The sun was hidden somewhere behind the thick clouds that had rolled in, revealing no part of itself to any being who may have been searching for it. The sky was a dull gray color, the air cool but not so harsh that it bit. Ever so slowly, a dapple gray Arabian picked her way across the meadows towards the scattered trees that rested on the other side. She was completely out of her element, unsure of where she was, but she wasn't letting it unsettle her. Instead her head lifted higher, her determination to figure out her whereabouts driving her onwards. The ground was slightly damp, which Ersilia was not pleased with, but she forced herself to ignore it, placing each hoof forward in turn. The sky looming ahead seemed slightly ominous, and this caused the mare to pick up her pace. Her hooves thudded dully against the ground, the only sound present in the seemingly barren land, with the exception of the occasional snort. She lashed her tail angrily at her rump, chasing away several flies, although they only wandered away momentarily.
If one were being technical, yes, Ersilia was lost. She had been wandering around all day, devoid of any company, just stuck with herself and her thoughts. In fact, it had been quite some time since Ersilia had spotted another equine. Shaking her cranium slightly, causing dark grey strands of her mane to cascade down the side of her neck before settling back into stillness, she eagerly trotted to the stream she had spotted. Figuring that she deserved a rest, Ersilia lowered her muzzle to the cool water, sucking it down speedily. It had most certainly been a long day.

Ramaskith carefully moved forward, each step measured and placed perfectly. His knees popped up and it was as if he were moving in slow motion. His mane bounced lightly with each stride and his tail trailed out behind him like a silvery white banner. He snorted softly, his hooves sinking into the damp earth and leaving cresent shaped prints behind. He exited some of the nearby trees, dacing through the grasses and onto the sandy shore of the large river. He stopped at the edge of the water, lifting a leg and pawing at the air above the water and then splashing some of the liquid. He snorted again, tossing his head and standing still. He lowered his head and stared at the water as the ripples subsided. His face appeared, wavering in the still moving water; highlighted by the sun beginning to set on the horizon, slipping between clouds.
He lifted his head without getting a drink, hearing movement nearby. A grey figure was working its way towards him. He slowly turned in the mare's direction, picking up a slow trot. His leg still bothered him but it had mostly healed, as had the scratches across his pelt that now shone a medium pink. His ribcage still ached now and again, the bones not fully healed; though there wasn't much he could so about that besides seeking out a healer, and that wasn't going to happen. He was fine now, just needed to deal with the small pains he still got now and again.
Rama approached the mare, her small frame similar to many that he had come across lately. It seemed that the egyptian bred equines were being quite frequent in Forma Silvestris. "Bonjour," he said, the ancient greeting rolling effortlessly off his tongue. "Can I help you with something?" he asked, stopping in front of the dapple figure and appearing gentleman-like. It was nice meeting someone new and reinventing yourself. Unless of course, they already knew you, or even knew of you. Though, most wouldn't be able to recognize him on the spot unless they were alive during the war. He smiled down at the mare, knowing that she couldn't have been alive to witness his destruction. Though, perhaps she would be to see what he was planning next.

Ersilia's head was still lowered, tongue lapping greedily at the water, when she noticed movement out of the corner of a chocolate hued eye. She quickly snapped her jaws shut, lifting her head and turning her head towards the sound of thumping hooves. If she'd thought she'd been alone, she was very wrong. Her gaze traveled immediately to the stallion that was trotting towards her, eyes roaming over his body. Oh. He was gorgeous, her mind recognized that fact instantly. His pelt was an attractive mix of ebony and ivory, and she found herself admiring him for a moment before shaking her head to drag herself out of her reverie. Finally, company had found her. The last thing she needed was for him to think she was a gawking idiot. If there was one thing that Ersilia was not, it was an idiot.
He greeted her, his deep voice reaching her ears easily, causing them to flick forward. "Well, hello there," she responded immediately, straightening herself and angling her body completely towards his. Her muscles tensed just slightly with caution, because if it was one thing she had learned, it was that some stallions simply could not be trusted. Until this stranger gave her a reason to doubt him, she wouldn't, but that didn't mean that the mare would be foolish enough to drop her guard. Shaking her main out, her ears caught his question and she smiled at him; she was unsure herself if it was a sheepish twist of her lips or a bold one, and supposed that the stallion would interpert it as he would. Her gaze flickered around quickly, but upon spotting no one else, she turned her full attention back to responding to the male before her.
"Perhaps you can," she responded, tilting her cranium to one side just slightly. "because as embarrassing as this is to admit, I'm a little on the lost side." She let a soft laugh slide from between her lips, tail swaying back and forth slowly as she glanced around once more. Yes, she certainly had no idea where she was. But perhaps this stallion would be able to help her out. Not like you have anywhere to go. Her thoughts trilled, and she considered this before speaking once more, her tone teasing and light. "It seems as if I'm a damsel in distress. It's a new experience."

"Well, hello there," she responded to his greeting, standing up straighter and leaning towards him as their conversation started. When he asked if she needed help, she smiled. He couldn't help but smile back, waiting for her to answer. She looked to each side as if seeing if anyone else was listening and he followed her gaze, wondering why the secrecy. "Perhaps you can, because as embarrassing as this is to admit, I'm a little on the lost side." she responded, a light laugh falling from her mouth. She glanced around again, appearing slightly nervous. "It seems as if I'm a damsel in distress. It's a new experience." He chuckled softly, tilting his own head to the side. "I believe that is quite an easy thing I can help with," he said, turning to stand beside the mare and gesturing outward across the meadow and the unseen lands beyond. "This, mon cher, is Terra Orientalis. The section of land given to Lord Ramaskith after the war." he said, keeping the bitterness out of his voice as he said the last part. Yes, the land he was forced to inhabit and never leave. The mares would be punished in due time for placing him on such restrictions; when he invaded their territories and murdered them. It would be lovely.
His attention returned to the mare, not wandering for very long, but wandering nonetheless. "I know my way around rather well, I'd like to think," he smiled crookedly. Perhaps the small mare could occupy some of him time, since he had nothing better to do for the moment. Raine was recruiting his warriors, and he was still recovering from the fight with Sonalane. The days had been dreadfully boring lately, and he hated to sit around and do nothing for extended periods of time. He lived off actions, and while he was waiting for the chance to make one of the biggest actions of him life, the lag time before that happened was excruciating. He was growing impatient.

The section of land given to Lord Ramaskith after the war.
In the short time that Ersilia had been present in the area, she had heard small snippets here and there about the war. She knew enough to not be considered ignorant on the topic, but not so much that she would be comfortable acting like she knew much about this Lord Ramaskith. She had heard the name, she was certain of that, but that was the extent of her knowledge on this figure. With that in mind she nodded her head just slightly, relieved that she at least knew where she was now. She was positive that wandering around on other's territory wasn't exactly her smartest move, but what could she say? Her sense of direction wasn't exactly sharp.
"I know my way around rather well, I'd like to think," His words drew her eyes back to his own, and she offered up a playful little smirk. "Well, then I'm very fortunate that you found me out here. I truly appreciate it." She was once more brought back to the realization that she wasn't exactly in any hurry to get anywhere, despite the fact that she now knew her whereabouts. She would likely spend the rest of the day wandering about, attempting to become familiar with the new land she suddenly found herself surrounded by. It wasn't exactly the most exciting idea, and as her eyes wandered over the stallion, she wondered if he would be interested in keeping her company for a while. Snorting softly, she shifted her weight before remembering that she had not yet introduced herself. "Oh, right, it would probably be smart for me to give you a name," she said, lifting her head slightly and peering up at him. "I'm Ersilia Gioia, but Ersilia or Silia works just fine for me. Whichever you prefer." Then, following her words, she gave him a coy look. "May I know the name of my strapping savior?"

"Well, then I'm very fortunate that you found me out here. I truly appreciate it." He grinned, playing his part. He hadn't been able to play with anyone in a while, only having to punish. Sometimes he did like to let loose a bit and just talk, though who knew what would happen once he grew bored of the word exchange. This mare was relatively easy to talk to, and wasn't horrible to look at either. Though, his company hadn't particularly been full of pretty ladies as of late. "Oh, right, it would probably be smart for me to give you a name," she said, looking up at him. Oh yes, a name. He often forgot that others were given titles, not bothering to learn them before he killed them. "I'm Ersilia Gioia, but Ersilia or Silia works just fine for me. Whichever you prefer." she introduced herself and he smiled down at her. "Enchanté, Ersilia," he said, inclining his head in a gentlemanly way. Far lower than he should have, but he was playing a part, right?
"May I know the name of my strapping savior?" she asked, and he wondered if he should give her his true name and reveal who he was, or shortened version. He decided on the latter, knowing that if she did find out who he really was, he could just say that she never asked for his full title. "Skit," he offered, finding the letters easily very different from his true name without the others surrounding them. It had a different sound even, than when placed in his name. "I'm glad to have helped you with your prediciment, but I'm afraid my services are no longer needed. What a pity," he smiled again, taking a step forward. "Is there anything else you might need assistance with on this lovely autumn day?" he asked, turning his head over his shoulder to see if she was going to follow him.

"Skit,"
She smiled up at him, their faces only inches apart. Skit. She liked it. After taking a short moment to commit it to her memory, she nodded to show that she'd heard and comprehended him. "Skit the savior. I like it," she commented with a little flick of her tail, still smiling sweetly at him. She was glad to see that he was going along with it instead of treating her like an ignorant foal or something of the sort. So many times she had encountered equine's that were just so serious all of the time. Ersilia understood that there was indeed a time to be straight-faced and solemn, but it was not constantly. A horse that could handle her playful side was a horse that she liked, and this brute happened to be one of said horses, fortunately for her.
"I'm glad to have helped you with your prediciment, but I'm afraid my services are no longer needed. What a pity. Is there anything else you might need assistance with on this lovely autumn day?" His words dragged her back to the present conversation, and she glanced up just as he began to move. For a moment she was still, but when he looked over his shoulder at her, she trotted ahead until she was nearly at his side. "You know, as a matter of fact, I think there may be," she said, before pausing as if to consider it. Her hooves made soft, dull thudding noises against the ground as she trailed along behind him, her eyes flickering with amusement. "See, I'm very glad that I know where I am now. But I'm not exactly in a rush to get out of here. To be perfectly honest, you're the first horse I've spoken to in a while." She shrugged a little, before cutting her eyes towards him. "Perhaps you could keep a mare company?"

"Skit the savior. I like it," she replied and he smiled. It was so easy to deceive people. They believed everything you said. And it made it so much more fun for him, to play a part that wasn't him. He was good at acting.
She quickly trotted up to his side, not afraid of him. She should have been, but she didn't know that yet. It was exciting when someone willingly followed the killer, unknowingly falling into a trap with no way out. Like an insect into a venus fly trap, the sweet smell drawing them in only to quickly be trapped and consumed. He supposed he was much like the plant, though it wasn't his smell that drew others in. It was the handsome covering, the white and black with blue and brown eyes. The tall, protective form and the regal air that surrounded him. It was, of course, the accent, leaving behind a hint of mystery and difference, setting him apart from the others. It was the way he could smile, twisting his face into a crooked teasing visage that left you wondering what was on his mind. All of this, paired with the exotic words that flowed so easily from his mouth, drew in the helpless victims.
So he smiled again when she suggested he keep her company, as if she would really have to try to keep him around. He looked over at her, her own eyes already focused on him. "I do believe," he said, "That can be arranged." He grinned, tossing his head to the side, "Come on," he leaped forward into a slow canter, his hooves easily digging into the soft earth and propelling him forward in a steady rythym. "You may know where you are now, but you don't really know where you are." He laughed softly, winking and turning into the trees, his ears listening for her following foot falls.

"I do believe that can be arranged."
Her lips stretched into a grin as his words reached her ears, which twitched and flicked as if enjoying the stallion's silky tone. Ersilia found herself relaxing further as she trotted along at his side, feeling almost...safe with the easygoing male. "Lucky me," she commented, making sure than nothing about her tone was sarcastic. She truly could have been considered lucky, after all, to stumble upon such a handsome, charming stallion like Skit. After going without company for so long, the mare found herself glad that Skit was willing to amuse her, even if it turned out to be only for a short period of time.
When he suddenly leaped forward, a soft laugh bubbled forth from Ersilia, the sound light and cheery. After the shortest pause she sprang forward after him, tossing her mane as she cantered along at his side. His words, followed by a wink before he angled his path into the trees, left her with a giddy feeling as if she were a foal again. She hurried after him, following him like a smitten fool, lifting her head to peer up at him once she was at his side once more. His eyes truly were stunning, the two different colors attracting her like a moth to a flame. In fact, everything about him seemed to have that effect. And it was almost as if he didn't know it. Or perhaps he really did. Either way, Ersilia wasn't complaining. "Is that so?" She asked, responding to his previous words. A slightly devious smile found it's way to her lips when she realized that her tone had been light, airy, almost flirty. She made no effort to change this when she spoke again. "Show me."

The mare willfully trotted at his side, saying that she was lucky. Well, yes she was, even though she really didn't see how truly lucky she was. To be in the company of her Lord. It really was an honor, and even more so because he hadn't killed her yet. Quite lucky indeed. She laughed as he jumped forward, loyally following. She was already caught, and he was almost bored. It was all too easy when you played the charming gentleman. They just fell into your trap with no struggles, blind and eager. He held back a sigh, almost wanting to roll his eyes at her foolishness. She smiled at him, "Is that so?" His ears swiveled forward at her tone, so she wanted to play too? He wasn't sure she'd like the game very much. Though, if she were willing, perhaps she could be kept around for just a while. He grinned down at her fragile form, scanning her body and assessing the possibilities. She was rather small though, the arabian lineage clear in her bones; but Sheba was that way too, but he had no way to know how that was working out at the moment, seeing as how she escaped his grasp. Perhaps he should expiriment with this one? The more of his offspring the better anyhow, and certainly not any with the crazy bitch mare either. He didn't need her stubborness polluting his descendants. "Show me," she said, that same tone in her words. It couldn't hurt anything, could it? And what did it matter anyway? He laughed in his head, deciding to just go along with the game and see where it led. He gracefully pranced forward and into the trees.
"Well, madame, these would be the trees that line the Eastern lands, eventually turning to mountainous regions and flowing seamlessly into the West, where our Lord's rival has been directed to live." He kept to a slow and steady pace, occasionally looking over at Ersilia to see if she was listening, and how interested she truly was. "The Lord led attacks from a meadow not too far away." He smiled but stopped as thunder rumbled in the distance. "And now it seems time for you to become familiar with the weather patterns," he shook his head in mock annoyance, "During the autumn and spring, the rain will fall pretty heavily, and some throughout the winter as well. Though usually it's just cold and the ground becomes frosty, not much snow in the middle regions, that's saved for the North and South." He looked up at the sky, the cloudy space obscured by the trees. "We should be fine under here though, the leaves offer protection against the raindrops," he smiled, looking back down at her, "Though a few here and there might find their way through."
He gently nudged her shoulder, his warm muzzle touching her already cooling skin. "Come on," he whispered, a little mysteriously as he danced forward; effortlessly. He floated through the woods, pieces of the land flashing by like an old movie film; the tree trunks acting as the edges of the slides. He paused, slowing to a walk and carefully stepping forward. He stepped out of the cover of the trees, looking over his shoulder at Ersilia. The rain slowly hit his pelt, the drops falling lazily from the sky. He stopped, his feet sinking into the sand as he looked at the sky. The sun was half covered by the clouds, the dark masses overlapping the colorful display as the sun started to set. The pinks and oranges mixed with the contrasting reds and greys, painting the tops of the nearby trees in different colors and causing the river in front of them to have a glass-like appearance. Each time the rain broke the surface of the water, it gave the illusion that the glass was shattering before seamlessly smoothing out again. "Some people don't like these lands because of who rules them," he said, breaking the calm silence with a soft voice, "Though they fail to see the beauty in them, and they truly are missing out." He smiled again, giving himself an a plus in acting. This was a piece of cake.
