LAOCH
Faster than he could react, Rasta excused herself, vanishing out into the white world. He opened his mouth as if to call a final goodbye after her, then abruptly shut it, turning to Repla. "Yea...stupid hawk grabbed my rabbit in its talons..." He looked at her questioningly before realizing that she must be referring to the shadow-rabbit that apparently followed them everywhere. What had she called it? A Patronus? "There was a hawk too?" he asked quietly, hesitantly. Why couldn't he see what she could?
"I'm fine. After all, she just healed me," Repla continued, breaking into his thoughts and bringing his attention back to the present. He must have seemed worried, for she brought her velvety muzzle to his own, whispering, "Please, Lao. Don't blame yourself." He sighed, nudging her muzzle in return, wishing it were that easy. "Rest for a bit? I don't really know why we came up here anyways," Repla murmured sleepily. "Of course, my dear," he replied. He wouldn't tell her that they had come to have her healed; he didn't want her to worry. Besides, she was well now. They could do whatever she pleased. Perhaps they could head towards some warmer weather. It didn't matter as long as they were together. At least that's what you tell yourself, a voice in the back of his head whispered. What about the land? Lao shook his head as if to shake the thought right out of his mind; he didn't need this right now. Sliding along Repla's side, they warmed each other as he laid his head along her back, closing his eyes. They had been through a lot together in these past few days. For now, let them just rest...
