But I'm not the villain,
despite what you've been preaching...
despite what you've been preaching...
Long ago the four Alphas lived in peace on a massive island dawning the name of Forma Silvestris. Each ones herd spread out along the edges. The Alpha's held some form of laughter as they watched each mortal horse, calling their lives a comedy. They realized that as an immortal, they could die, but it wasn't inevitable for them, as it was for those who they watched over. Each Alpha Stallion held an Alpha Fae as mate. This sparked a small flame in the eyes of the opposing stags. Tensions between the highly-respected leaders began to evoke the herds they ruled. The common stags were obliged to attack those that were now the villains to the Alpha Stallion. Many became warriors, avid about building up their strength and heading out to take over in the name of their Alpha's. Soon the Alpha Mares were put in jeopardy, for they were an easy target that the Alpha Stag held higher than his own land. And it was this very frame of mind which caused the four Alphas to go into action to either protect their herd, or to take control of others.
Call me a traitor
I'm just collecting your victims...
I'm just collecting your victims...
As the fighting raged to a new level the Alpha Mares began to watch with astonishment. They had always seen their mates as a figure with a level mind, and one that could take things in stride. The mares spent time meeting with each other and looking over the victims of injury. Hiding away they talked of ways to save those mortals from dieing a horrible death. Quietly, under the protection of the night and early morning they created Elixirs and Potions which would help the mortals gain supernatural powers. Some, allowing them to heal, while others gave them new strength on the battle field. But, one of them surpassed the rest. They concocted a beautiful mixture that would make common horses immortal. And this, yes this one potion, was something they hid from their mates. No one else could know of this. After all, they didn't need to put any ideas into the Alpha Stallions' heads that could possibly fuel their hunger for power. Only select few should be given full immortality. But, they had to understand what it meant to be immortal. They had to have the concise judgment, and the sensible thinking in order to be blessed with such a powerful ability. It had to be a well-kept secret. The Elixirs were the only way that any of these mares could see this dreaded war ending. Peace needed to be restored.
You find your strength

in solutions, but I liked the tension...
Behind curtains the mares continued to work at their plan. One of them had the power of healing and healed up most victims which had fallen due to their mate's horrible game. Once she had healed the fallen the other mare came in and offered them the choice between the healing or the strength elixirs. Most of the warriors chose the strength to inevitably create a larger war-machine. The other side would then realize this and receive the strength also. But, a few of the fae's from the herds took upon the healing powers. The Alpha Mares were still hiding the immorality. It was too strong to be handing out to every warrior. They just couldn't let it out of their sight. Their efforts had started to cause the war to wane out. But the strength in trusted in the warriors had now been turned to destroy the opposing herds. Common horses had dwindled down to about nothing and the Alpha stags had become smart to this. They had become much more protective over their mates, causing these mares to squirm. They were forbidden to leave their stallion's side, which had pushed both mares into full revolution. Both of them severed their ties with their mates and met up once more. Planning the whole night they came up with a final solution to end this nonsense that had brewed from these two stags. They would break up the land they lived on into four territories. The Alphas would not be mates to each other, otherwise this insanity of war would end up repeating itself. The Alphas were not allowed to go onto each others land without a past warrior at their side, to insure the safety of the Alpha. Agreeing to these terms they presented them to the stags who hesitantly agreed. The remaining mortal equines fell under the rule of who they felt would help keep them alive the longest. And once the equines had divided one mare took the north, her old mate took the south. The other mare claimed the east, and the remaining stag took the west. The stags highly doubted peace would ever fully remain on these lands, but the mares were certain it would last. Perhaps the stags would give up their childish feud and become at least civil to each other. After all, neither of them could ever call these two Alpha mares their mate again. Each mare took one half of the potions which they had acquired and hid them away. These potions would only emerge when they felt it was fit. They didn't need too many strong equines, or healing equines to roam these lands. It would upset the balance of nature, which was to be protected at all cost. The Fae's were careful in giving the precious gifts, fore they were well aware that were not fit to hold the power that these potions provided.
And not always knowing
the answers, but you're gonna lose it...
the answers, but you're gonna lose it...
The peace has been held for five years. But, the mares have felt something stirring inside their herds. Some sort of tension which they can't place their fingers on. They find it strange and wish that everything would finally settle. After all, the state which these lands are in are by far the best conditions they had seen in decades. Frequently, these two mares would meet up at a river dividing their lands into two and they would chat on their side about how everything was doing. Of course, this was still in the dark of night so that no one would realize what they were doing. They had always been hidden like this, and it just felt natural to do so. Quietly, they had been releasing their Elixirs and Potions to the herds which roamed, but only when they felt that equine deserved it, and would use it wisely. No one who has horrible judgment deserved such supernatural powers. It just wasn't something they wished to have out there. The immortality was still their secret. No one knew it existed, and it would require the utmost convincing for them to even consider using it. But, as they sat there talking they mentioned about how their old warriors were beginning to get ancy. They were trying to cross the lines, to start a fight with the other herds. It seemed as if they had the want and need to kill. It seemed as if it were in their blood, and ingrained in their minds. And silently, they hoped that it would die away and not ignite yet another flame-filled war.
