OSER
The Alpha stag moved at a slow trot through the North lands. The sun was shining, reflecting off of the melting snow and dazzling his eyes. It was a beautiful day. Or it would've been, if his lands had not just been seized by the bloodthirsty Enemy. He shook his head angrily at the thought. The peace had been kept for five years. And now, here Rama was again, in his face and with an army. Briefly, he wondered what had kept him from attacking sooner?
As he moved, he kept his eyes up, scanning the horizon. He was not as familiar with Rasta's territory as his own, and he would not be taken by surprise again. Besides, now that the alliance with Rasta had been sealed, it was time to begin recruiting. He would take back what was rightfully his. Coming to one of the many streams that seemed to cross Rasta's lands, he picked his way along the muddy banks. They were thawing, and he had to be careful not to slip into the icy water as he traveled along the side of the awakening river. Finally finding a satisfactory place to cross, he waded through the freezing water. He must be doubly alert now. For where there was water, there was sure to be life...

Don't tear me down For all I need make my heart a better place, give me something I can believe Rhise had been traveling for what had felt like days. He had been trying to get to Rasta, he had been trying to warn her. She needed to know of the war. Of the fact that Rama was now able to control the lands which Oser used to once hold. He needed to pay her back - for all she had done for him. She deserved the be safe. And he would do all he could to ensure that she got that. He had been traveling along these rivers and watching as the ice began to thaw out. It was amazing to his eyes but he continued to keep moving. Everything had been a blur these past few days. Taking another second he could feel Shae's disappointment radiating into his back. He had just left her there. Left her to fend for herself. But she was distracting him. She was so caring. So lovable. And he was being completely detered from helping the one that he had set out to help.
Shae needed to know that he loved her. He loved her with every bone in his body. He would be back for her once this war was over. But until... until he knew Rasta was safe - after all she had done for him - he couldn't be sitting there playing house with her. If he didn't make it - God, how he didn't want to think about that - she would always have a piece of him with their foal. If he didn't make it she must know that he was fighting for the good - to keep Rama from being able to do anything to her. She must know that. So, before he would join the ranks he would ask if he could see Shae one last time to explain everything to her. She had to know. She couldn't go on thinking he had left because he didn't care - because he was scared of raising a foal. He wanted the foal. Oh how badly he wanted that foal. How badly he wanted to be able to have a family with her. But the way he had left. He knew if he had stayed to say goodbye that he might not ever leave. That he would say he could wait a little bit longer... and that little bit longer would turn into a few more days. And then a few weeks. And then a few months. And then, he would hear that Rasta had been killed. And grief would take him over because he hadn't done everything he could to have saved her. Rasta needed to be there - to help all those souls which she hadn't yet. You didn't know the true kindness of others until she had taken you under her wing. You knew the true evil when you have been around Rama - he was blood thirsty and he wanted control. He wanted power. He wanted everything his way. Rasta needed to outlive that brute. And he would do whatever it took to ensure that. But, he must say the proper goodbye to Shae first...
He must make sure she knew he loved her before he went off to most certain death...
Shaking his head he brought himself back into the present and soon realized he had run across Oser. Stiffening up he stopped and let out a short nicker, letting him know he was not an enemy. "I've come to warn Rasta of the war, I would like to help as much as possible..." he said, stopping across the stream from Oser and giving the other stag plenty of room so he was not taken as a threat. He was going to be doing this for Shae. He was going to be doing this for Rasta. And he was going to be doing this for that foal... He had meandered along the bank of the stream for a bit and had turned a bend, suddenly to find himself in the presence of another horse. The stranger was tall, well built, with the spotted markings of a leopard appaloosa. Oser stood semi-cautiously on the bank; though the stranger was on the opposite side of the river and they were in Rasta's domain, he could never be too careful. The Eastern border was close here. He made a mental note to patrol the borders more carefully.
The gray stag whinnied in greeting, and the stranger looked up, calling across the river, "I've come to warn Rasta of the war, I would like to help as much as possible..." Suspiciously, he nodded, giving the stag one last look before finding a suitable place to cross the river. If it came to fighting, though the stranger was big, he was sure he'd be able to defend himself. Wondering about the stag's intentions, he crossed. How could he be sure that the stag was who he said he was and would do what he said he meant to do? At this point, he wouldn't put it past Ramaskith to resort to using spies. Being overly cautious was not in his nature, but since the war had begun, he couldn't be too careful. He could at least be civil though, he reminded himself. If the stag really was who he said he was, Oser could use all of the help he could get.
Approaching the appaloosa, he spoke. "The thought is good, sir, though Rasta knows of the invasion upon the West." His features softened, half-wishing that she didn't know. He knew how much anguish fighting caused the golden mare. But she couldn't possibly know the depth of his hatred for the Enemy...
"However, do you have another message you wish me to carry to her?"
If only he could find some way of identifying this stag and finding out where his loyalties truly lay....
--behind the post-- Oser's paranoid. Does Rhise have a patronus? If he does, that would be a good thing to convince Oser that he's a good guy. If not, I'll figure out some other way, don't worry xD

Oh I've got to turn and run from faces you'll never see oh I've got save my blood from all that you've broken Rhise was approached by the stag who was now speaking to him. "The thought is good, sir, though Rasta knows of the invasion upon the West." Oser's featurs softened a little though he still seemed to be on edge. Oser being on edge was beginning to put Rhise on the edge. If only there was some way he could prove to Oser that he was not a threat. "However, do you have another message you wish me to carry to her?"
Rhise cleared his throat for a second glad to be seeing the spring air blowing back in again. He looked around for a moment and his eyes caught sight of the spectral hawk in the trees. "If you would, you can tell Rasta that her hawk is not required to keep an eye on me - or you for that matter. But, she already appears to know that." he said with a tiny laugh as the hawk took flight. Slowly, he circled Rhise and Oser before landing gently upon Oser's back with an indignation about him that was almost sarcastic like. "Good day to you also, Rasta" Shaking his head lightly he let out a tiny laugh. "I would just like to help if at all possible, Sir." Rhise explained, hoping that the hawk joining Rhise would help Oser realize that he wasn't really a threat... [/blockquote] ==Into the Mind .236 words .Rhise is trying to not get killed XD

"If you would, you can tell Rasta that her hawk is not required to keep an eye on me - or you for that matter. But, she already appears to know that."
Oser glanced upwards, following the stag's gaze. Yes, there it was, perched high above them, Rasta's faithful hawk. He snorted softly, not knowing whether to be reassured or annoyed that the hawk was checking up on them. Still, it was Rasta's patronus, and that had to be a good sign. As if to confirm his growing confidence, the hawk floated down from its perch, landing easily on the his back. His skin twitched slightly at the there-but-not-there sensation. The hawk seemed to be a decent judge of character. But, like he'd remembered before, it was Rasta's patronus. The mare was usually, but not always, an accurate judge of character. Take the ex, for example, who wanted to kill her.
He hesitated slightly. He wanted to believe the stag...Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of movement. Chunks of breaking ice surged past in the river, and a phantom of the same shade became visible just beyond them on the opposite bank. The huge polar bear lumbered amongst the trees, overturning not-really-there rocks and snuffling at the ground. Oser's patronus had made an appearance. He relaxed visibly, trusting its sense of judgement. It rarely appeared, he recalled, the last time he'd seen it was when...Song. He felt his heart wrenched once again, a fresh little reminder of her come to torment him again. No. She would stay in his past where she belonged. Apparently she could charm his patronus as well as she had charmed him. But for now, he had determined that this stag was safe enough.
"I would just like to help if at all possible, Sir." the spotted horse continued earnestly. Oser nodded. Fair enough. "We appreciate it," he replied, speaking for himself and Rasta, now that their alliance had been sealed. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Oser." He mentioned nothing of his former title, trusting that if the stranger knew it, he knew it, and if he didn't, it didn't matter much now anyways. Let him think him a simple general in Rasta's army if he wished. Without lands, he was only an Alpha in title. Oh, he would restore his kingdom...
--behind the post-- yep. posted. he'll give his whole war schpeil whenever. I was just gonna have him learn Rhise's name first before going all, "Hey, wanna sign up for your possible death?"

I waited for you today But you didn't show no no no, I needed you today so where did you go? Rhise allowed his head to bob a little bit as Oser introduced himself. "I am Rhise." he swished his tail. His mind sliding back towards Shae. He had left her. He would need to say goodbye. "What is there that you would like me to do?" he said, not allowing his voice to waver. If he died - he died for Shae. He died for Rasta. He died for a land where they could be safe from Rama. That was who he was and what he would do. Bowing his head in respect he awaited what the old Alpha would ask from him. [/blockquote] ==Into the Mind .106 words .Not much to say until they get to the deal

Shady. I will post on Rama's thread after school tomorrow. I promise. And though there is pain in my chest, I wish you the best, with a Forget You... Shae stirred, shivering slightly from the cold. She blinked, looking at the bright sun. Her stomach heaved, and she struggled to lay up. "Rhise?" Shae asked, looking around. Where was he? Shae shifted, thinking he was probably off to find food or a run. He didn't leave her for long though. She sighed, worry forming in the pit of her stomach. Shae lay there, curling up, listening to the faint birdsong. But the minutes ticked past, and Rhise didn't return. His scent barely lingered. Shae stood up, her knees buckling from the unexpected weight of the foal. She shook her cranium, whinnying. "R-Rhise?" Shae asked, worry flooding through her veins, which was suddenly replaced by hot boiling anger. She fumed, kicking at the sand. Why hand't she figured this would happen? She screamed out, anger filling her veins along with adrenaline. "Rhise, you asshole!" Shae called out, knowing he couldn't hear her. "You bastard. What the hell? Your such a liar! I can't believe you did that to me! You got me to care for you! It was all just an act, wasn't it?! Oh, yeah, just pleasure yourself, and then leave." Shae hissed, her voice hard and bitter, angry tears spilling from her bright red eyes. She could never trust again. Shae stumbled forward, hot tears blurring her vision.
Why had Rhise left her? He, he said he loved her! But no, it was all an act, he didn't want a foal, she saw the glint in his eyes, it was just to pleasure himself. Shae stumbled along the ground, bitter thoughts of his act flashing through her head. It wasn't all anger though. He had torn her heart apart, ripped it from her, and slowly melded it to his, before tearing it to pieces, and all of them would never be found again. The anger retorts faded into sobs that racked her body, and she fell, landing upon her aching back. She cried. "R-r-r-rhise. N-n-no. P-Please." He didn't care, never did, it was all a game, and act, a plot. The war. He would be there. She was sure of it. He had left her for the war. He could care less about her. She curled into a tight ball, sobbing, this wasn't happening. But he didn't come back. It was hours now. Shae shuddered, the cold creeping under her pelt, and she clambered up, stumbling along the uneven ground. She would find the war. Rumors of all the lands except North were conquered by Ramaskith. Maybe she would join him. She knew Rhise hated him. But so did Shae. She could go to the west lands, just lay there, she would be found. Recruited or killed. She would be numb to pain though, nothing added up to this. Shae sagged to the ground. Her eyes still blazed red, yet she sobbed, tears flooding down her face and obscuring her vision. But she couldn't. Couldn't go on. She fell to the ground again, ignoring the cold hard surface, curling up.

"I am Rhise. What is there that you would like me to do?"
Oser nodded in acknowledgement. Slightly surprised at the direct offer, he realized that the stag did indeed know who he was, having addressed him in such a way, putting himself under his command. Now, there was only to hope that the stag meant what he said. "A pleasure. It is good to know your name, Rhise. As to the question, there is one way your help would be much appreciated. This war needs brave soldiers if it ever is to be won...and if Ramaskith is ever to be put down. You would do Rasta and I the highest honor--and the most aid--by joining my forces." The offer was out. Quietly, he waited for the young stag's reply.

What if I wanted to fight? Beg for the rest of my life, What would you do? Rhise shook out his coat and dropped his head down in a bowing fashion. "It would be my honour to serve the both of you." he paused, thinking for a moment and looking back towards the forest - he almost swore he could see that coyote patronus of Shae's. "Tell me what to do and I will gladly do it. Though, I might ask for a couple of days before I start to say goodbye to my mate - and explain why I am leaving her..." he said, a tiny sadness in his eyes as he spoke.
He didn't dare except for this stag to understand - nor to let him go back. But, he would ask for it because he really hoped that he would be able to talk to Shae one last time before he submitted himself to death. He needed to make sure she understood. She had to know, she had to understand.... [/blockquote] ==Into the Mind .157 words . He is having anxiety at thinking of leaving Shae like this.. XD

"It would be my honour to serve the both of you. Tell me what to do and I will gladly do it—“
So he had agreed! Oser began to nod gladly, spirits lifting now that he had found himself another warrior…when he realized that Rhise was still talking.
”…Though, I might ask for a couple of days before I start to say goodbye to my mate - and explain why I am leaving her..."
Oh. The word mate struck a bitter chord in Oser’s heart, another tiny reminder of what he couldn’t have. Why did all of his fighters want this time to say goodbye? Did they not trust that it would be a quick war? Were they so hopeless as to believe that they would all get killed? A bubbling irritation began to simmer in his mind, and he opened his mouth to deliver a brusque reply. But he caught a glimpse into the stag’s sad eyes, and his resolve weakened. He could see himself mirrored there, his own deep, dark, eyes staring back at him. He of all horses, should know what separation was. Of course, Rhise had a mate that loved him and wanted him to come back, while he didn’t, but he supposed…he supposed that it was the least he could do. Oser continued his nod, slowing it down wearily as he gave in. ”You have three days,” he murmured. ”By sunrise of the fourth, meet me here for your orders.”
That said, he turned away, forelock hiding his eyes. The gray Alpha began to move away towards the forest without looking back. But when he reached the edge, he turned and stated quietly, ”Thank you, Rhise, for your loyalties. We shall meet in three days.” With this, Oser slipped quietly into the trees and vanished.
--behind the post— yay, it’s done! Unless you want to add anything that is.
