Karuk slowly walked forward, his feet crunching against the frozen snow on the ground. None had fallen in quite a while, and it led him to believe that Winter was coming to a close. He was grateful for that fact, tired of the bitter cold temperatures that accompanied this time of year. He much rather preferred the greens of Springtime and the liveliness of the wildlife. He could see parts of some of the trees around him, leave buds slowly appearing as the snow melted away, the trunks almost stretching to absorb the sunlight that was present after being obscured behind grey clouds for so long. He snorted softly, sniffing the air. The smell of pine was faint, though reaching through the snow and slowly resurfacing. It would be nice to actually smell something other than the nonexistent smell of water all of the time. And not even the smell of a river, or lake, but the clean smell of snow. Or rather, lack of smell. And it masked everything, creating a lost sense of life, for it did steal the life of most everything, killing off plant life where it gathered. He wasn't too fond of the snow.
He glanced behind him, seeing the painted figure following him. Shika had expressed much of the same feelings he had when Apodis has expressed his ideas, and for that he was grateful. It was best for them to hide away and try to just.. escape from the violence. Anything else would only end fatally for the opposing side, he was afraid. There was really no real hope of mounting a defense against Ramaskith, he wasn't going to stop trying until he was dead, and most knew this. That was why they were hiding away, and why the North was so populated right now. It was their sanctuary. Rama attacked the West first, that was the most obvious place not to be, and Rasta had always been a pretty clear non-supporter of the war. She had been one of the ones to end the war the first time. So yes, everyone would show up here, knowing that she wasn't going to let Ramaskith just come in and take over. It was the best choice. But, even so, out of the people who knew he would stop at nothing, the majority would probably side with the offense, knowing that very fact, and not wanting to be known as an enemy against this vile creature. It was a..logical solution, he supposed. He had done much of the same not so long ago, though for slightly different reasons. Who was to say that the equines now weren't thinking the same things? Just because there are wars of the past, and everyone has heard stories of the destruction, does not mean that they won't jump at the chance to take part in something again, like their ancestors surely had.
He picked up a trot, ears perking at the sound of water, slowly trickling. The streams must be thawing now, with the steady sunlight trained on them. Soon, once the rains started, they would have to be careful for fear of flooding, but now the sound was a welcome one, offering some taste to the liquid other than the cold, non-taste of the snow that littered the ground or the ice that was available to lick at. He slowed as the rocky shore came into view, this river much of the same in the North, and much like that one where he had happened upon Shika, the rocks being very unfriendly. "Watch your step," he said, glancing back at the painted mare again. Her stomach was slightly bulging, but not overly so. Not yet. It hadn't proved much of a hindrance to their travelings and Shika had been able to keep up fairly well, though they had moved at a comfortable slow pace most of the time. There wasn't much need to rush, they were in the North now. He didn't want to put too much stress on her, only hoping that she would speak up when she tired. So far so good, though.
They had been slowly moving deeper into the North for a few days now, taking their time and stopping early some days, and not setting off again right away. There really wasn't much hurry, as was mentioned already. Soon they would have to start looking for a more permanent shelter though, close enough to the river so that they could have easy access to the water. He stopped at the edge of the stream, sections of ice still frozen over it, but a steady stream was pouring over the rocks, creating a soft babble. He lowered his nose, dipping it into the cool water. The liquid hit his throat and he felt instantly better, reviving his body. It was strange the way a drink of water could do that. He lifted his head, gently shaking it as he stretched, shaking out his limbs. He walked over to Shika, gently touching his still cool nose to her neck. "I think it's time we found someplace to stay; all of this traveling is making me weary," he said, sighing into her mane. He was tired of being on the move, endlessly.

Shika watched as his painted form moved up ahead of her. Her legs were begining to ache, the extra weight she were now carrying was beginning to take its toll. Slowly she moved through the tree's, hoping that they could find a spot to lay down for a while. There short meeting with the alpha had been okay, but the golden buckskin had messed it all up. However she was glad that the alpha was kind hearted, letting Karuk and her venture the north, allowing then to go as they pleased. Glad that there was still love in the air, whether it was unconditional or unrequited. She slowed her pace, staring at his white and brown form, asking herself, did she really love him? or just the thought of losing him? Not being able to be without him. Or was it that she loved his protectiveness? She sighed, whishing she hadnt began thinking negatively. But the war dabgling over her head just made her more questioning of herself. Though deep down she knew that her love for him was pure essence. Her heart told her this, making it even more special then it should. Perhaps she should listen to her heart more, instead of her mind, for doing that only brough sadness, and nagative feelings. Shaking her cranium she picked up her pace.
She could smeel the sweet scent of running water, and by the looks of it, so did Karuk. She pulled alongside him as he slowed his pace, the rocky shore broke the thinly lined trees. A small line of water broke the ice, running freely. The sound like music to her audits. Karuk turned back to glance at her. She smiled at him, his pure look melted her heart. "Watch your step," She gave a little laugh "You know thats pointless words, no matter how much i try i just cant be careful." She laughed again, brushing her nose along his shoulder before he pulled of ahead of her. She watched as he easily maneuvered around the rocks, making it look so easy. She glanced down to her hooves and then a little upwards to the rocks. She could do this. She would do it just for him, even if she had to use all her energy one, she would do it just this once. She gulped, taking a step forward, watching where she placeeach hoove fall with clear precession, looking for the larger gaps before moving forward. Pausing for just a second glancing up, checking on him, making sure he too was being carefull. Though he had already made his was across them and was now standing close to the streams edge. Taking in a deep breath she pushed forward, soon finding it more easy, and then she began to look less. Just as she hit the shingle edge along the shore, she became a little to hasty with pride, slipping on the last few rocks that had layers of green slime. She collected her stride, double stepping, finding that it worked and she kept her balance.
She brushed up along side Karuk, just as he took a long intended drink of freshwater. Smiling she too droop her muzzle to the icey waters taking in a good gulp before it became to cold. Raising her nose from the stream she felt his touch along her neck. Smiling she turned to him just as he began to speak. "I think it's time we found someplace to stay; all of this traveling is making me weary," she nuzzled at his neck, pulling away she brushed her nose along the side of his face. "You worry too much sometimes. But yes I agree we need to find shelter, a place we can sleep peacefully for a change." she smiled bumping her nose upon his,the reached back down to the stream taking one last drink. Water fell from her chin as she lifted her nose from the stream. She glanced around their surroundings, wondering if perhaps there would be some place nearby that they could accommodate. Not being able too see much she turned back to him. "Which way?"

Karuk smiled softly at her comment. No, danger just seemed to follow her around it seemed. She tried to be careful though, he watched as she walked across the rocks. If she fell like she had before, he couldn't judge how bad it would be this time, but certainly it wouldn't be good. She made it to the river though, tripping once and catching herself before he would take more than a step forward. At least she was trying, instead of walking blindly into situations like before. That was definitely something, and hopefully it would work in their favor in the end. He couldn't bear the thought of something happening to her. It was strange think how these feelings had surfaced so quickly..and so strongly. From the beginning he had been worried about her, but he was worried about any one in danger, it was just part of his nature, especially being a healer and a Shaman at that. He wasn't just going to let someone suffer if he could help it. The love he felt had crept up on him, coming out of no where. With Katerina it had been different of course, and accident that had brought them closer, though he wasn't sure if he ever truly loved her. He had cared deeply for her, but was that really for her or the part of himself that she had been carrying? With Shika it was so much different. In a good way though, wasn't this the way it was supposed to go? Minus all the small dangers that she had gotten into; this was how it was supposed to be. As he stood there, looking at her, he knew that it was, somehow; that they would be okay. They would survive this war, all of them, and they could be happy together. He hadn't been happy in a long, long time.
"You worry too much sometimes. But yes, I agree; we need to find shelter. A place we can sleep peacefully for a change." He chuckled softly at that first comment, brushing his nose against her neck as she took a drink from the river. "Of course I worry," he whispered against her skin. She turned her head around to look at him, inquiring which direction they should go. He pulled away, lifting his head to scan the surroundings. Kilton squawked, perking at the thought of having something to do. He lept from his perch on a nearby tree, gliding forward and disappearing from sight, in search of shelter like he had so many times already. Karuk turned, but seeing nothing in the immediate vicinity, he moved around, trotting in the direction Kilton had gone, but on a slightly different path so they weren't searching the same areas. He motioned for Shika to follow him. He hoped they would find some place not too far from the river, that would be the most ideal. They wouldn't be able to stay very far away from long periods of time, and venturing far from shelter would be bad with soldiers trolling the lands like they were sure to all too soon.
They wove through the trees, both searching for a suitable place to rest. He was hoping for something similar to the spot that they had found in the forest in the South, where the trees had formed a shelter over where the ground had sunk in. Something like that would be perfect, since a cave was going to be impossible in the middle of the forest. He pivoted around at the sound of shifting dirt, seeing the Shika had stepped into a deep hole. He quickly jogged back to her, though she looked fine and was investigating the hole that had appeared. He stepped up next to her, seeing that the hole looked like any other, though the edges continued to fall away, as if underneath there was nothing. The ground suddenly gave way, rolling down a steady incline, revealing what seemed to be an entrance to whatever lay underneath. He snorted, glancing over at Shika, who had a very curious expression across her face. He lifted his head, glancing around to forest, looking for any clues that this could be a trap. It looked as if the section was a hidden bunker from the first wars, where the equines before them had taken refuge, hiding from Ramasktih when he attacked five years ago. He wondered if it was even safe to venture down there; what if the ground collapsed, or in this case, the ceiling; burying who ever was walking around down there? "Stay here," he said, turning and giving Shika a forceful look. He took a step forward, lowering his head as he walked down the slope and into the underground bunker.

"Of course I worry," She smiled towards him. Watching as kilton glided into the air. It was good that they could have eyes from above; perhaps he would come in handy when the war reached the north, sending him out to see their where a bouts. Though she also wasn’t so keen on him. The way he always dug his talons in when he rested upon your back, clawing at your mane when he wanted you to shut up, or do something. She glanced down in time to watch Karuk trott of into the trees, following kilton, but also seemed to be looking in a different place. Turning to follow, she gave one last glance around her immediate area, and then began a slow advance in Karuk’s direction. She really did not feel like moving at a fast rate right now, she was cold, fed up and felt like just curling up right now and sleeping for eternity. But she ignored those feelings, the pulling on her limbs, the pain as she stretched out already tired muscles. She couldn’t show her tiredness not yet, she would have to go on, trying to ignore it, hoping Karuk would see through her charade. She so wanted to sleep right now, though it was so weird how sudden it came on, she was fine a moment ago, and now her knees just wanted to buckle from under her weight. Moving forward with a shakily stride, slowly moving after him. Perhaps they had moved to far without a break, though they had only been moving slowly. She searched for something to nibble on, picking at a bush whose buds were forming, the snow was receding, but it still left a horrid chill behind, the sun not yet strong enough to warm up the atmosphere. Stripping the bush of its newly formed buds, she turned back on track only to find she had lost sight of him. Panicking she moved forward, finding a sudden burst of energy. Shika broke through into the trees, finding that he was just up ahead of her, only being hidden from the foliage.
Shika moved forward slowly. Her tail dropped, and head low, with a gentle arching in her neck. She really was feeling it now. Perhaps she was feel so exhausted because of the foal she were carried. It was just sucking the life from her, always making her hungry now. The sooner she gave birth the better it would be, perhaps having the foal now was a bad idea. But who knew if she would have had the chance later on, waiting another whole year to be in heat again, who knew what would happen in those 365 days. She sighed, picking her head up a little, just so she could watch him, she couldn’t picture a world without him now, and if there ever came a time when he would leave her, she would not be able to go on, though she knew that that’s what he would want, she would have to get by, hopefully the foal would be like him, keeping her sanity just that little bit. Dam it! Why was she doing this? She was never this negative, it wasn’t right. Of course he wouldn’t be going anywhere yet, he would never leave her and he had already proven that many a times. He had found her each time she had run from him, always finding each other right at the beginning, when he had found out that she was actually an alpha. He hadn’t liked it so much, but he came after her hadn't he? Of course he did, he worried about her safety too much to leave her be. Her emotions were running wild, all because of the young she carried, of the love and bond between Karuk and her. She hated these random feelings, the negativity, then the depression, it just was not her. The aching of her youthful limbs, something which she had not felt in a long time, the huge barrel rolling side to side as she walked, making it rather annoying to manoeuvre now. She watched as he looked about for a place for them to hide away, he really was so sweet and handsome, She should feel lucky of the find, not many stallions were like him, he was certainly different, possibly the reason for why she had fallen for him so quickly. Her step suddenly dropped down a little, glancing down she found herself in a large whole, kind of like a mud pit. Karuk hadn’t yet noticed that she had stopped, though they were so tuned that it didn’t take him long to realise she had left his side. Karuk jogged back to her, relieved that she was not hurt - unlike all those other times. The ground gave way, causing her to slide down a little, though she managed to pull back, a hole large enough for them to fit into opened up and a tunnel formed going deep underground. Looking up at Karuk a confused expression crossed over her face. And he too gave that same look, but also that of excitement. "Stay here," he commanded her then began his advance into the tunnel. "Karuk! No! Please.." her voice echoed in the tunnel, true worry and fright sounded from her voice. She grabbed out at him, trying to stop him but it was too late, only managing to catch a strand of his tail between her teeth, which snapped, as he pulled away. Seeming not to even notice that she had pulled on it. She sighed, watching as his form soon vanished. Glancing around nervously, hoping that no one had seen them. It felt so awkward to just be standing out here alone, not doing anything, kind of suspicious looking too. She pulled back from the hole, hoping he wouldn’t be too long. The feel of loneliness crept up on her causing her to shake. She knelt down in the bushed, finding the patch with the least snow, where grass too began to grown back, creating a soft bed for her aching limbs. Though now if Karuk returned he would not so easily see her, but at least she was hidden if someone came by. At that Kilton's screeching echoed through the air. Glancing up she saw him advancing down and resting upon the bushes she lay in.

She protested, but he knew she would. She was just as worried about him sometimes, as he was about her. It was strange having someone worry about you. Someone that, you had to actually worry about yourself or else you would scare them, in the event that something bad happened. As he walked down into this bunker, he knew very well that it could collapse on him, and he knew that Shika was thinking the same. But at the same time, it could be a perfect spot for them to stay. He wouldn't let her come down here unless he knew it was completely stable though; no doubt about it. The air was a bit cooler, you could feel the moisture against your skin from the snow above. The slope started to level off, the floor soft under his feet. He lowered his head, sniffing, finding that most of it was covered in a layer of moss; the small plants thriving in the cool, wet, shaded area. Some light did filter through the ceiling, leaving beams of yellow sunlight through the airy space. Karuk glanced up, seeing that the ceiling was a latticework of tree roots, holding the dirt up easily, though some spots had fallen, which is where the sun filtered through. He carefully stepped forward, his movements silenced by the moss on the ground. The area was huge, he couldn't even see the walls on the opposite side. Had this been used to house refugees in the previous war? His hope rose up, maybe they did have a pretty good chance after all! But what if Ramaskith already knew about it? He pushed the thoughts away. This was their only chance at hiding away, their best chance. The entrance could be easily disguised and no one would even know; they would walk past just as he had been doing, not a clue as to what lay underneath their feet. And even better, he and Shika would know they were there, so it's not like they would be snuck up on, the way the ceiling was formed. It was perfect.
He continued to walk further into the space, keeping a cautious eye on the roof, though it continued to hold up. As he stepped on, the holes in the ceiling became less and less, the ground above becoming more compact as the forest grew denser, the roots criss crossing and tangling together, creating a stable barrier between this bunker and the mass of dirt above. This place was really thought out, and large, with the abilities to hold many equines. The sound of trickling water reached his ears and he stopped in disbelief. Water down here too? He trotted forward carefully, following the sound. He slowed at the space got darker as he advanced, the skylights disappearing and leaving him to trace the ground with his nose. It touched something wet and he lifted his head, squinting into the darkness. From what he could make out, it looked as if there was a small pool of water that had accumulated in a small dip in the ground, along a wall; the water flowing from the ceiling. He looked up, wondering if this cavern stretched as far as to be located underneath the river, or at least nearby, leading to the appearance of water under here. He turned, picking up a trot as he advanced toward the exit. He appeared in the entrance, squinting into the light. "Shika?" he asked, turning his head as he realized she wasn't here anymore. "Shika..?" Kilton called out, appearing nearby, from the middle of some bushes. He trotted over, seeing Shika laying on the ground. He smiled softly, nudging her shoulder. "Come on, you've got to see this," he said, waiting for her to stand before leading her back to the bunker. He could tell that she was tired, and he was too, but now they could rest, easily, with nothing to worry about.

Resting her head down into the soft beding, formed by nature itself. The smell of fresh soil hit her nostrils, easing her tense muscles, helping her to relax. Though she could not do so fully, untill Karuk was safely back at her side. He shouldnt have left her like that, but at the same time she knew that he was checking the place out, making sure it was safe. Though it would be too late if he was attacked by suprise, he wouldnt have a chance, or if... If the ceiling feel in upon him. Shaking away the thoughts, eyes beginning to close, she slowly drifted of into a light daze, sort of daydreaming haze. His painted form curled up in front of her. They were alying on sandy floor, with a canopy of tree's above them, shielding them of the weather out there. She nudged at him, proding hisneck with her nose. His head resting near her hooves. "Karuk.." She wispered into his ears. "Karuk baby its time". She paced around the cave a little, then found a spot to lie down again. Though this time she lay on her side, her breathing became faster, more laboured than before. A warm damp feeling covered her back legs. She kicked out with them, squinting her eyes, her breath quickened as she was almost panting like a dog. She could feel as the foal began to break free, slowly making its way into its new world. Fidgeting around on the floor where she lay, she breathed heavily between each push. After a good few moments the foal was free. The sticky casing tore free of the little bay and white new comer. A smile covered her now sweating profile. "Shika?" His voice seemed to echo, sounding as if from a distance, yet he was stood near by.
|
Kiltons screech broke through her riveree. Pulling her Cranium up from the groud, Karuk was standing there, looking a little worried. Though he noticed Kilton from his calling, seeming to realise he knew where his love lay. Heading over to where she lay he called out again. "Shika..?" His gentle face popped over the bushes, then lowered down to her, bumping her shoulder. She yawned like a lion. Just as she was done, even before she could get a word in edge way. Karuk spoke again, this time seeming egar and excited. "Come on, you've got to see this," He stood waiting for he to stand, though he also seemed rather impatient to show her. Brushing her nose with his as she slowly raised up of the ground. Following him back to the underground hole that she had come across. Karuk entered without a worry, though he waited to make sure she were following him. Pausing at the entrance, a little weary of entering the hole, hoping that it truely were safe enough. At seeing him waiting with a huge grin across his face, she took on step over the invisible ledge, getting a rather strange feeling as she did so. She pushed on slowly, watching where she trod and the sides of the tunnel to make sure they were sturdy enough. So far so good. The tunnel started of as a small one horse entrance, just wide and tall enough for her to fit that slender body along with her powerful long limbs. However as they got deeper it flaired out, getting deeper and wider, now able to fit about four horses in a row. It was so very cleverly thought out, she just hoped it was safe away from the war, and not something they used as a sneak in plan. Pulling up along side him she stood there, her semi bulging barrel brush against his hip, turning her head so she could look up to him. "I hope this is a good as you make it sound. I dont like being woken for nothing" She laughed a little, though found it used too much energy. The tunnel pulled out into a magnificant hallway. It was huge and cleverly crafted. Carved by hand with no dobt, and the way the tree roots made a lattice work above the ceiling. It truely were a majestic artwork from nature. She looked at Karuk again, this time more alert. "It truely is something!" She moved further into the large room, walking around in a circle as she glanced up at the roof, the lasting sunlight beamed down creating little pools of light upon the floor. One landed right upon her crown warming her fur, the feeling tingled through her body, enjoying the warmth, the feel of the sun once again. Though she did enjoy the snow, it all became too much near the end.
She felt a surge of dizziness run through her. Causing a fault in her step. She stopped at that, her energy was at its last little limits. Lowering herself down to her kness, she semi collapsed to the ground. It was warm, unlike that of the crust above them, which was still frozen and cold. Curling up as best she could, glancing over to see where Karuk had gotten to. "You should come lay down, get some rest, we both need it" She gave a weakened smile, half closing her orbs. Curling her head round, tucking it close so she could keep herself warm. Listening to his steps, waiting for him to join her, knowing he would not argue. Though she hadnt wanted to show she were tired, she could see he was. Meaning he would have a feeling that she would be also. "Oh Karuk, i had such a strange dream while i was waitng for you" She spoke into the ground, blowing away some of the loose earth, though it was adressed to him. Kilton glidded into the underground cave, squarking in pleasure at the sight. She smiled as her eyes began to fade out again, though the sounds around her were still clear enough. At that she even thought she heard the sound of running water, and the dripping of it also. "Do i hear running water?" She asked in a sort of daze, half sleepily way, sounding like that of an excited child falling asleep. Stiffling a yawn, her nose brushed upon Karuks leg. Smiling into his fur she finally let go and fell into a deep sleep. She was back in that strange cave once again. The foal was now standing on her own. Just a little shaky was all. But wouldnt you be if you stood for the first time after you have been stuck in an awkward positon inside a cramped space for over two seasons? I would think so. With that the little filly tried to walk or rather gamble along towards her. She welcome her with a steadying touch, then guided her to where the food sat. The filly happily began sucking away at the milk, her little tail wagging as the food filled her stomachhe for the first time. Possibly tasting much better than that of what she had been eating; or rather what little she had been eating. She glanced over to Karuk, who stood watching them with huge eyes. He was happy and she could tell so easily, for the huge smile plastered across his face was that of seeing his daughter for the very first time. She smiled too him, but his eyes were too intrained on the filly. When she stopped drinking, she gave her a little nudge towards KAruk, walking behind her and constantly having to push her the right way. As she kept trying to turn around or go of to the side. Her eyes were still closed from being in the womb, protecting themselves from drying out or not forming right. She bumped into him, fallig to the ground, Shika laughed at her, leaving her to find her own feet and letting her get used to the feel of her elongated limbs. Shika wrapped her head around his neck, tugging at his mane, cleaning it of any dirt that twisted it round. Making it look more like tendrils of wines than his softened silken threads. A gentle hig pitched sound broke the silence. Glancing down she saw that the filly had gotten to her legs, now confused and worried about where her mom had gottten too. before she could even move round to her karuk touch his nose to the foals. Though the filly pulled away confused at the different scent. Panicing now, she ran into Shikas leg. Such clumbsy little things they were, just like she was at times. She smiled at Karuk then reached down to the new born, helping her to relax. ..:. 1503 Heck yes XD Sorry for the random dreams, but they are kinda cute right XD [/blockquote]

[/blockquote]

She advanced slowly, cautious, and he waited though he was bubbling with excitement. This place was absolutely perfect for them. And anyone else who was in the same situation, since that was obviously the reason why it had been sculpted out from the ground so carefully, and well hidden from outsiders. The only way Ramaskith could possibly know it was here is if he was shown it. He barely paused on those thoughts though. It wasn't possible that he could know of such a secret place. It just wasn't, and Karuk surely wasn't going to dwell on the idea. There most certainly wouldn't be anything he could do if he did know, so it didn't really make a difference. "I hope this is as good as you make it sound. I don't like being woken for nothing," he heard he say with a small laugh. He chuckled as well, their sounds bouncing off of the walls of the cave yet no dirt fell from above, lending to the feeling of stability and safety. He watched her face as she took it all in, a soft smile settling on his own. They would be safe here, he knew it. He already felt so much safer than before, being out in the open. They would outlast this war, together. "It truly is something!" she exclaimed and he smiled at the tone in her voice. She stepped further into the area and he glanced around as well, marveling at how this place could have possibly been put together. The time spent to make it just right and livable, with the ability to withstand the seasons and still remain intact as it did now. It was stunning to think that this place had lasted at least five years of harsh, Northern Winters and extremely wet, Northern Springs, and yet it was as if the place was untouched. Kilton screeched, swooping down and gently settling onto Karuk's withers, bobbing his head in approval before hopping to the ground with the muffled sound of talons against moss as he picked at the plants, searching for the small animals he knew would be hidden in burrows underneath. Karuk gently shook his head, glancing at the ceiling and feeling the sunlight on his nose. It was just warmth down here; the cold, Spring air did not reach them in this place.
He heard a soft thud and turned to see that Shika had settled on the ground. He immediately jumped forward, worried that something was wrong. "You should come lay down, get some rest, we both need it," he stopped next to her, noticing how tired she looked. He wished she had said something before, but decided to leave it alone, lowering himself to the ground next to her. He was tired as well, of course. With this constant traveling. He hadn't though it would wear her down as quickly as it seemed to have though. He silently scolded himself for not paying better attention, no matter how hard she would have been trying to hide it from him, he should have been paying must closer attention. Who knows what could have happened because of his carelessness? "Oh Karuk, I had such a strange dream while I was waiting for you," she said, her voice low because it was directed away from him. "Oh?" He asked, inquiring what she might have dreamed about. Though her mind seemed to wander as she started to fall asleep, unable to focus on one subject for too long. He smiled as he laid his nose against her pelt, gently running it across her stomach. "Do i hear running water?" She asked and he nodded once, unable to open his mouth enough to speak as he started to drift to sleep as well. He stopped, laying his head over her back and along her shoulder, exhaling softly against her forelegs as he relaxed. She yawned, her head twisted around and laying against his leg as he felt her completely fall asleep, only a few moments before he did the same.
