When the light hits your eyes It's telling me I'm right and if I, I am through then it's all because of you... The black mare gently trotted through the trees. Her whole body clearly seen in the snow. Though it seemed as if she disappeared in random parts where her white brindle showed through matching the snow. A tiny laugh hit her lips as she drove in deeper to the peaceful lands. It was strange - a feeling of calm immediately taking over her life as she moved in farther and farther. Her eyes were a normal colour of maroon - no intense feelings taking over her at the moment. Sliding to a stop she watched as the snow curled up in front of her and then landed in gently upon the pond which she had stopped for. knocking the ice loose with her hoof she allowed her maw to descend in to the water in order to take in a good long sip. She was parched from her long journey but she did enjoy the silence that had followed her.
Shaking out her coat she looked around. The silence had cause her to become thirsty for compliments again. Her gorgeous self couldn't last this long without someone telling her how beautiful she was. Looking back and forth she grumbled something to herself - noticing no one else was there. She decided she would stand there - until the sun set - for someone to appear. Let it be known, she would find someone. She would not allow the world to be this silent... [/blockquote] ==Into the Mind . 237 words . It's weird playing a conceited mare...

Kaodran had been watching the mare for quite some time. He was amused by her antics, as she stood delicately posing by the pond as though looking for potential admirer from underneath dainty lashes. He decided that she had reason to stand so coyly, for she was a striking sight, jagged white brindle markings slashing a coat of otherwise midnight black. She was a flashy mare to be sure, every contour of her almost pony-sized body nimble and sleek. He grinned unexpectedly at her stance, so characteristic of the Saddlebred breed, for that was what she surely was. Her luxurious, high tail, her sculpted head with its expressively liquid eyes, all pointed towards the refined breed. He tossed his own head, allowing dark mane to ripple overtop his mottled pelt. He too had a base coat of black, diluted by white, making for an elegant appearance, though perhaps not as unique as the mare’s. Ah yes, the mare. He had let her slip from his gaze, while pondering his own looks. She was still standing there, proud and graceful in her stance. He arched his neck and walked serenely forward, every motion studied and in sync, a majestic figure, he thought.

There's always something in the way there's always something getting through but it's not me, it's you, it's you... Rae turned, hearing the footsteps of another horse as he came through the snow. She had sworn she had someone in the brush but she hadn't been totally sure. It was just the way that she was. Before her eyes hit his they changed to a happy purple. "Hello. It's nice to see another equine in these parts. It's been so quiet since the war has started up." she said with a tiny laugh. Her voice rang out a little and the wind began to pull her black and white mane around with it. Almost as if it were playing a game in her heart. It was really strange. But she wasn't totally sure how the world enjoyed making everything seem to work out just perfectly in accenting her body. "Have the tales of these lands brought you here?" she said attempting to start a conversation, certain that compliments would undoubtedly follow at some point in the conversation. [/blockquote] ==Into the Mind .162 words .I have no muse for this mare sadly. I need to find a way to get her prissy side out. XD

Kaodran cocked his large head in a friendly manner. He was glad to have found another soul out here in the large forest. “Hello to you,” he said, returning her perpetual smile, though his was a tad more reserved. He did not like it when the mares threw themselves at him. “I have heard rumors about these lands, however no actual tales about them. This is the first time I have actually traversed them. “ He paused for a moment as the wind parted around him, whistling in his ears. She seemed affable enough, so decided to chance the question. “Your words seem to point to knowledge of these tales, so I ask you; are these lands so neutral that none dare bring war here, or are neutral in name only? For I seek a safe haven, yet am beginning to doubt there is any to be found.” He needed a safe haven, he needed one desperately. He did not plan to hide from the war, only to gather his wits about him and plan a strategy. Sliene, his ever-present shadow, eyed the mare curiously. She smells of envy and conceit, she said scornfully. Kaodran opened his mouth to scold her but realized how silly he would look, talking to seemingly no one. He still was not sure if anyone could see Sliene and was not taking any chances of looking foolish.

Makes me that much stronger makes me work a little bit harder it makes me that much wiser Rae let out a tiny laugh, bobbing her head slightly as he spoke. "These lands are neutral in that lovers from both sides of the original war took refuge here. It was where they met while the fighting was happening when both their parents disagreed. It's a place where star-crossed lovers can meet. And people aren't really supposed to even be here." she paused, looking around at the trees. "I would assume it would be a good place to hide - though of course, I can't promise anything." she explained. Moving forwards a little bit she allowed her muscles to pull out a little before stepping back again into the shadows again.

Kaodran simply nodded once, confirming what he already knew. There was no magical border to keep Ramaskith out, so how could he assume that the killer-stallion would not chose to venture into the unclaimed lands? Still, he had at least bought himself some time. The last he had seen of Rama, he had been pursuing Oser. Surely he would not come looking for Kao, at least not yet. He turned his attention back to the mare. She had made a little fient towards him, stepping out of the shadows, then back in, a gleam in her eye. He sighed. He needed refuge and allies, not a weak mare. She would not be an asset to him at all. Though he would eventually have to move on, hopefully to find an Alpha, he would not mind taking a slight respite here. He was glad for the company she provided and hoped she would prove an agreeable companion. "Forgive, I didn't think to introduce myself; I am called Kaodran, but I go by Kao," he said, breaking a slight silence between them.
............. No muse either. I cannot write Kao. xD

Good God, you're coming up with reasons Good God, you're dragging it out Good God, it's the changing of the seasons. I feel so raped so follow me down The mare bobbed her head slightly. It was odd to her what exactly was going on and she wasn't sure she enjoyed his company at the moment. Something just seemed off. Shaking her mane out once she looked at the frozen ground around her. It was sending off an odd aura of the world and she didn't necessarily want to be around it all too much longer. Kicking away some of the snow she looked up to him and spoke. "I am Raelene, though I prefer to go by Rae. It is a pleasure to meet you, Kao" she said before dropping her maw down where she had managed to uncover some food and taking one bite out of it - refreshing her body for the moment. Kaodran wondered what was unsettling the mare. Rae. He thought it was a pretty name, and said so. "I like that name. It matches you." He smiled at the last sentance, wondering why he had said it. He had not really thought it matched her, but looking at her, he decided it did. "It has a melodious sound to it," he added. Following her head, he too lowered his head and began to browse. The grass was brittle and tough, typical forage in the winter. He would be glad when spring came. His muzzle brushed the snow in a half-hearted effort to find something to eat. He nosed at a brush, batted an eyelid and passed it over, for it smelled spicy and not at all edible. He was about to raise his head again when he noticed something sticking partially out of the snow. Gingerly, he sniffed at it. Not good to eat. He was about to turn away again, when he noticed the intricate way it was shaped. Definitely not a stick. He decided to examine it further and kicked the snow away from it with a heavy hoof. Another one lay beside the first and he realized that it was a pair of small wooden earrings. He picked them up and trotted over to where Rae stood. "Eerf, Ee dound iss," he said and too late noticed that he still held the earrings in his mouth. Almost apologetically, he held them out to her, not wanting to spit them on the ground but also wanting to ammend his garbled sentance.

Just shoot for the stars if it feels right and aim for my heart dont you feel like and take me away i sware ill behave The black and white mare blinked at the stag who was holding two bone earrings in his mouth. He said some words which were very incoherent and presented then to her. Cocking an eyebrow for a second she said, "Thank you!" before dropping her head down and taking the earrings. Then. It was just the task of finding a way to put them in. "Would you mind helping? I find it rather difficult to do on my own," she asked after having put the down right in front of her so she could speak clearly. She swished her tail and quietly hoped he would be willing to help.
