Josh shifted his feet after his story. Yes, he wasn't like other stallions out in the world, he wasn't commanding, or rude. It just wasn't his nature to be like that. Now thinking back, he was glad he left the Ramaskith herd. After the invasion and forcing Oser out by a surprise attack, it made Josh more anti-war type and his hatered for Ramaskith. HE hated that stallion, for everything that happened, for forcing him to do crimes he didn't want to do. Josh knew, if he was to ever return, he would be killed. No mercy was shown to tratoirs. Thats why he wandered around, to protect himself and help others. Yes, that was it.
He focused his attention to Anniston again. Waiting for her response. And thinking to himself, he just can't believe he just told his whole past to a mare who he just met. But from her reaction, and then her response, she wasn't mad or angry nor shooed him away, but took at long time to respond, which he didn't mind, he acually enjoyed her company, and seeing that she wasn't so bad after all. Maybe he did make a new friend, he hadn't have friends in a long time.
After she finished her story and nodding to parts of her story. "You left becasue you hated it...there is no harm in running..." he said gently to her, But still her last sentence rang in his head, I fear the day that Ramaskith takes over, the day I am forced to do what he says..I won't let him put chains on me again." pity filled him and he told her softly, "That makes two of us..I also fear the day when he rules, If he catches me, I"ll be dead for betraying him and leaving."
He took a step closer, "Hey...at least you won't be alone and I know, Oser and Rasta will rally forces and bring Rasmaskith down and we will be helping them. Not in violence..but it other ways." He looked in her eyes, "We will start recurting the horses that fled, I meet several of them while travling. Convince them to join the side for good, we will be helping but in a different way. More allies Oser and Rasta get, the better chance they have of defeting Rammaskith."
He said it with pride, he was sick of war, and he didn't want Anniston to get trapped again, like he was. It was horrible, and he will help Oser and Rasta, getting them more allies to fight...Ramaskith. ----

anniston She shrugged. She wasn't ashamed of running. If she was the type to be ashamed, she wouldn't have done it. She had run because she hated where she was in life, and it was a much better decision that she had. She couldn't imagine where she would be right now, but she could guarantee that she would be unhappy. Running was her life, the freedom. She couldn't be any other way. She looked back at Josh as he said that he, too, feared Ramaskith. Of course, everyone did, but at least he knew what exactly he was afraid of. Most of the equines now days are just afraid of what they've heard, what they think they should be afraid of, since most have no real memories of the war anymore. Just stories, tales, memories of the pain the wars had left behind, mostly in effect with families, but nothing first hand. They didn't understand.
He stepped closer to her, trying to reassure her. Yes, Rasta and Oser are rallying forces. At least they were going to fight back, try to keep things from happening. Try. There was nothing set in stone. She nodded, "Recruit where they cannot go?" she asked, suddenly hopeful. She could do something, without joining the army, without openly fighting back. Anything they could do to stop Ramaskith, anything was better than nothing. Josh seemed confident in his plan as well, as if it might really make a difference. Anni wasn't quite sure how many free equines were wondering around though, or how many Ramaskith held against their will that were willing to take off if someone was there to help them. She smiled at the older horse, glad that she had decided to come up and talk to him, even if he was a stallion, and a warrior at that.

Josh was glad she didn't look down at him as dirt. And he had seen in her eyes a spark of hope, that wasn't there before. He was glad, he got his idea out and she wanted to help. This is one way how they can help with the war without attacking or becoming violent.
"The more we can recuit, the more power Oser and Rasta has at their disposal. The more they can bring Ramaskith down and never rise again." JOsh said, enforcing the fact. It wasn't a big step but it was a start. Energy went through his veins, he was excited. Going to go back on adventures and having someone at his side. A good, loyal friend. He thought back, he didn't have a friend his whole life almost, it would be nice to have someone to talk to.
"Once we round up the loose equine, then will will convince the ones under Ramaskith rules to switch sides. Once they see that Ramaskith can be brought down, they will spread the word." he said continuing on. He could see it in his head, almost all of Ramakiths forces, turning against him and then...he dared not think it...Ramaskith brought down and dead. He sorta wishes it will be Oser or Rasta who will bring him down.

anniston Anniston nodded with his words. Yes, the more equines fighting against Ramaskith, the better chance they had. Power in numbers. He continued on, forming a sort of loose plan. It sounded good in words, almost as if it could really happen, and she hoped it would make a significant difference in the outcome of things. She also hoped that the warriors on the other side weren't so terrified that they wouldn't think twice about leaving, or even worse, that they actually fought for Ramaskith because they believed in what he stood for. That would be terrible. As far as she knew, a lot of the horses taking up refuge in the North were mares, or others refusing to fight. Perhaps they could persuade them otherwise? She hoped so. They would need everyone to fight back. And she wasn't sure who all had fled to the Neutral sections of Forma Silvestris, but most of it seemed rather empty except for a horse here and there. No matter what happened though, she wouldn't let Ramaskith control her. She would rather die than be put under his rule for very long, especially if she was ordered to do things. Her pride would most likely get the best of her and Ramaskith would kill her off anyway, but she truly hoped it would never come to that. Ramaskith needed to be brought down, slain and his memory perished, as it should have when the lands were split. The other Alphas should have never let him get away with what he did, because now..he thinks he can try again. The other Alphas do not have the freedom to be so merciful any longer. This, in a way, was their mistake. This war, was their fault. So the better damn well at least try to fight back, for everyone else's sake.
"I hope there are more hiding in these lands than it appears..." she said, turning to look into the distance; the trees and the fields and the area beyond. Had everyone hidden away? Their hope already gone and only waiting for what they believe is inevitable? "If not... I know there are some that are crazy enough to follow Ramaskith, that they will side with him because they want to, not because they have to; because he forced him to. It's going to be hard to pick them out, to work around them." She sighed, her excitement dimming with the prospect of reality. "This will be a far more difficult feat then it sounds."

Ooc: sorry I haven't posted. Been really busy this week. But I'll post tonight. Promise. Josh shook himself, "Yes, it will be hard and difficult, but in the end, it will be all worth it." he said looking at her. A start on a new journey! The more he thought about it, the more excited he got, going out to explore once again. He said, "We will start here, in the Neutral lands, and work our way North. We are bound to find some horses that are going to join our cause."
He lifted his head and sniffed to the wind. Letting it fill him up, the cold air refreshed his energy. And he looked at her, "Ready to go?" he said and then without waiting for a response, took off at a slow trot down the hill. This is it, the start of a new adventure to change the future.
Yes, the neutral lands would be a good place to start, maybe they start recruiting, then world will spread and more horses will head north to join the fight against Ramaskith and free this land of the terror.
Oh....sorry its not so long. hahah

anniston She could feel his excitement, and she was excited to. At least this would give them a small chance at winning! Anything was better than nothing. She sure as hell wasn't going to just lay down and let Ramaskith stomp all over her. Why were these people willing to do so? If Ramaskith took over the North, as he was surely going to, there would be no refuge. There may be a neutral land now, but what is the point in neutral lands when everything surrounding them was controlled by the tyrant? You would be just as trapped, and she knew that Rama would try to take over these lands anyway. Or just claim them as his own because he owned everything else. It seemed logical, in a way, but if they could keep him out of the North, out of what little lands they had left, out of control, perhaps there would be a chance that they could turn this around. If Ramaskith did rise to power, as he was trying to desperately to do, what were they supposed to do then? He wouldn't step down, he wouldn't pass on, he would be the sole ruler of Forma Silvestris for thousands of years, unless someone stood up to him. And why wait? Why should everyone wait until he was powerful and in control to fight back? Why not prevent it? Something needed to be done now, before all hope was lost. Once he was 'on the throne,' everyone would give up, for fear of being severely punished if they do something wrong. She wouldn't live life like that.
"Ready to go?" She was pulled from her thoughts with those words and smiled as he turned at started trotting away. She looked into the sky for a moment, the wind breezing across her pelt before pivoting and slowly cantering to catch up with the older horse. Yes, she was definitely ready. She felt as if she was meant for this. She had always been meant for something more than the simple, nonproductive life she had lived, but now she had a purpose, and her actions could very well help the outcome of her home. Of everyone's home. She just hoped they would succeed in their mission.
// 379 words okay. i am sincerely sorry for the long, long wait. I haven't had ANY muse lately, and no time to write anything either. I tried to write something good though. :B
