April Prizes

Starting a thread in April -- You can win a pretty snowflake marking in white or light blue for your horse! These markings will be about the size of the palm of your hand and may go anywhere on the horses body.
For making 1 post in April -- You can win a chain bracelet made of carved ice! This unique item can go on any of the four legs, and will remain through the duration of the winter. As temperatures begin to rise it will melt away to return with the first snowfall next year.
For making 5 posts in April -- You can win either three bluejay feathers bound together or a strip of blue hair for one character's mane. This will remain until you choose to remove it, but once you do it cannot be reclaimed.
For making 10 posts in April -- !!!! You can win a special practical surprise! This adaptation will allow your horses bodyheat to react to outside temperatures. In winter weather your equine will maintain a body heat of around 110 to help keep out the cold and in summer will maintain a warmth of around 85 - allowing the body to function comfortably under the blazing sun.
For making 17 posts in April -- !!!! You can win a second special practical surprise! This adaptation will allow your horses to experience an increased ability to scent things. Your equine will have an easier time finding edible plants under cover of snow, and in springtime could use it to distinguish edible from non-edible with more ease. This particular talent would earn the horse rank of 'tracker' in near any situation, and could easily allow them the ability to follow the scents of other horses the same as any bloodhound.
For making a post of 500+ words in April -- You can win a very unique prize. Each winter your horse's pupils will alter shape slightly with the light change and become the shape of a snowflake. This means that for each character that receives this prize, each will gain a unique pupil shape in winter weather. !!!! You may win this for more than one character. Each of this prize will go to the character used for the post. For a 1000+ word post, this trait becomes genetically gifted.
Grand Finale!
On May 1st we will have a raffle style drawing for three prizes, each one gifted by one of the admins. You will gain an entry for each post you make in the month of April. Prizes may either be applied to new or old characters. You may only win one of the prizes. If the same name is drawn for two prizes, the winner will be given a choice and then the second prize will be drawn for again. Each of the admin prizes is genetic.
You must claim these prizes in this thread! The only prizes we will keep track of are the admin ones in the drawing at the end of the month. Each time you hit a goal, please come here to claim your prizes.
From Abba -- You could win a special wintery adaptation that would allow you to appear as if made of snow. While all veins, organs, and other necessary bodily effects will stay the same, outward appearance will be white and packed of snow. The skin temperature will be if as of snow. This adaptation has similar effects to body process as the body heat prize. Each spring the equine can either choose to shed the snowy covering or keep it through to next winter.
From Appy -- You could win the necklace Vivere that promotes long life and health. The wearer can pass it down to whom they choose, as long as they rule to pass it on. The amulet protects against minor injuries and minor illnesses, and helps to counter the effects of stronger ones. Not to say that the necklace doesn't come without it's darker side effects, though one would only notice those if they used Vivere's powers excessively.
From Smoky-- You could win the blood flow adaptation. This tool allows one to consciously slow the rate of blood flow, helping quicken clotting and allowing one to essentially lessen blood flow to an injured area while in battle. This prevents blood loss, though if adequate blood flow is not accommodated it is possible to loose a limb.
