Rhise curled up backwards, nearly falling onto his face as he winced in pain. "Stupid, ignorant..." but as he heaved in a breath his fractured rib screamed in pain and his ears pinned back again. "You win this little one, bub." he said, swishing his tail and trying quickly to move away, only to be trying not to voice his pain and unable to go faster than a walk. He looked around, sensing the mares in heat. He wanted one so badly. So badly for himself. Where was Shae. "Shae. Can you come out please. Promise this fight is over...." he said, dropping his eyes down a little as he stood a good twenty feet away from Lao. He needed company. He needed to know he wasn't alone. And his obnoxiousness had ruined that. "I'm sorry for my rudness..." he said in a last ditch effort to not be left alone at this time...

Repla watched the fight with horror in her eyes. Lao... his leg. She squeezed her eyes shut, hearing the clashing of hooves as they connected with bone, and then the sickening crack. She gasped, losing all her ability to hold herself together as the tears slid down her face. But, it wasn't all from fear of Rhise. It was also fear of Laoch. Of her warrior. What... what would happen if she made him made? She highly doubted he would ever lay a hand on her, especially after the meadow. But, she had yet to do anything to get on his nerves. She couldn't stay. She needed to get away from here. "If you love me... you'd follow me..." she whispered under her breath before turning on her haunches and bolting deeper into the foliage. Though the shadows had completely disappeared, the sky had tinted everything red with the sunset. Her rabbit was bounding over the roots and she was following it, following the light and the warmth. She didn't know what else to do. She just needed to be away from the violence.

She was too innocent to understand...

And as quickly as it had begun, it was over. The real world crashed down around him, and with adrenaline filling his veins, Laoch was on high alert. He could hear his own heart pounding, could hear Rhise drawing in jagged, pained breaths, could hear...whimpering? Repla.

"I regret that it came to that," he said in a low voice, looking at Rhise. "But for what it's worth, you fight well, son."


He nodded once in acknowledgement, then turned to run after Repla. Please let her be safe. Please let her be near. Lao whinnied, hoping to coax her out from wherever she hid. Oh Repla, when he had charged at Rhise, he had completely forgotten about Repla...she had never seen this side of him, he realized. He rarely saw it himself.

Whinnying again, he called to her, hoping that it wasn't too late to repair the damage he surely must've caused.
