What doesn't kill you makes a fighter Footsteps even lighter Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone Aleta slowed from her gallop into a canter, skimming across the meadow and darting rapidly between the snake holes that littered the field, concealed by the grass. Avoiding an injury at high speed had been entertaining enough for a bit, but she had grown rather bored with it. In all of her time here, she’d seen exactly one snake: a plain, brown, nonthreatening snake that had slithered away as soon as it had noticed her noticing it. So, she made her way to safer ground at the edge of the meadow, snorting softly. A mountain loomed above her, and she pricked her ears, beginning to climb. A light sweat broke out on her golden hide as the sun rose, but she didn’t mind. It reminded her that she was releasing some of her pent up energy. She didn’t quite know why, but during the breeding seasons, she was always more active than usual. She had no mate, and while she supposed the extra energy was nature’s way of ensuring that she would have the strength to seek one out, she wasn’t particularly interested. However, it made thrill seeking a pain. Ordinary heights wouldn’t do—during the breeding seasons, she always had to do so much more to satisfy her craving for adventure. She heard the quiet crunch of hooves behind her, and she turned to survey the mountainside. ”Hello,” she sang out, wondering if a companion might cure some of the boredom. ”Come out, come out wherever you are!”
--behind the post-- Aleta has no idea who she’s dealing with xD breaking her in is icky though.

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. The white stallion walked through a small clump of trees nestled together, ears pinning as the leaves broke under his feet. The season made it almost impossible to move without making a noise, yet Vondur did it easily. He sneered at the daemon as the creature bounced in front of him, his large mass effortlessly moving through the noisy foliage. He broke from the trees with a sigh of relief. The dying grass in the field was not nearly as noisy as the crunchy, waterless leaves that already covered the forest floors. Vondur bounded forward, stretching as far out as their mind-link would go. Ramaskith narrowed his eyes. You are quite annoying. He said, the daemon only yowling in response, not caring what he thought. He never did, though at least now he was quieter. The lion paused though, eyes narrowing in on a figure in the distance and for a moment Ramaskith saw as Vondur saw and he turned to start approaching the stranger on his lands. From here he could tell that it was a mare, and a smile appeared on his lips as he walked forward, a soft rustle of crinkling grasses following him. The mare suddenly called out, addressing no one in particular he assumed, asking from someone to come out. He chuckled, slowing as he got closer to the golden body. "What if who you are searching for is not hiding, mademoiselle?" He smiled mysteriously, his accent lingering in the air with the purr of his daemon. Perhaps she could cure his boredom.

There’s no escape, I can’t wait I need a hit, baby, give me it You’re dangerous I’m lovin’ it "What if who you are searching for is not hiding, mademoiselle?"
The stranger had suddenly appeared, and she turned to face him, a bright smile on her lips. What a shock it was to her when, she came face to face with not one, but two creatures, a powerfully-built stag and a massive golden lion. It took her breath away, startling her, frightening her yet at the same time luring her closer to investigate. ”How…unusual…” she said, voice shaky, inching closer to the stag, putting him in between her and the lion. The muscular creature thrilled her; it scared her half to death and she loved it. The long, sharpened claws, the bone white teeth, the solid, ominous jaw…if it wished, it could rip her apart in seconds. She shivered. What fearful beauty. ”What…exactly…does he follow you like that?” she asked the stag, too intrigued for the moment to bother with names. Aleta eyed him curiously, eyes barely registering the cruel yet handsome twist to his red, cream, and ebony face. After all, why should she notice anything special about his demeanor? She had no idea who this stranger was.

The mare was afraid, he could tell, of the lion. Vondur smiled, as much as a feline could, shaking his massive head and rolling his shoulders as he flicked his tail, setting his eyes on the golden creature-much of the same color as himself. She questioned him, obviously not knowing the concept of a daemon. He chuckled, "He is a daemon, mademoiselle. A part of my own soul materialized to walk beside me." Vondur yawned, large jaws extending and revealing his teeth; sharp ivory points. He collapsed to the ground, kneading the dift lazily with his large paws, bored with Ramaskith's conversation, though keeping an eye on the mare. Her fear of him was tainting the air, and he wouldn't pass up the chance to spook her later. It seemed easy enough. Rama might not be happy with him, but he would surely get a good chuckle out of it.
Ramaskith just ignored the lion, not wanting to bother with him. It was bad enough he followed him around, he didn't deserve all of the attention also. "What brings you to the East, ma cherie?" He could tell by the way she reacted that she probably had no idea who he was. It was entertaining, for a while, when someone did not know of how dangerous you were. It was the ultimate game, to play with one's head until they realized -- too late -- that you are not the person they think you are. Quite the opposite. He smiled; he hadn't been able to play games in a while.

But there's a side to you that I never knew, never knew All the things you'd say, they were never true, never true, And the games you’d play, you would always win, always win The giant lion quickened her pulse, half scaring her, half entrancing her as it yawned and stretched. "He is a daemon, mademoiselle. A part of my own soul materialized to walk beside me," the stag explained, and she cocked her head, giving him a closer look. She had heard vague rumors of such things, but to actually be able to see one…! Suddenly, what the stallion had said struck her—a part of his own soul? So he was dangerous, potentially violent at the core, yet still so fascinating. True, he himself didn’t particularly interest her at the moment, but something different about him made her stay. It wasn’t the same as her usual type of thrill, an obviously visible, tangible, near-death experience, but this slow-building agony would suffice for now, she supposed. "What brings you to the East, ma cherie?" he inquired, smiling and ignoring the creature at his feet. ”I’ve heard that the East was beautiful, but dangerous, if only you look in the right places,” she replied, tearing her eyes away from the daemon, as he called it. ”Nooks, and crannies, and cliffs, and treacherous mountainsides…such as this one appears a little further up,” she continued, eyes lighting up at the thought. She paused, watching his reaction. It was true that some thought her a bit insane, and some even went as far as to think her suicidal because of the things she loved. What did…this one think of her? Aleta suddenly realized that she did not know his name. ”Oh, and I’m Aleta,” she added carelessly at the end, flicking her tail impatiently. --behind the post— *le sigh* not really sure of where this is headed, but I’ll do pretty much whatever with her. She described several things, leading him to believe that she had a lust for adventure and adrenaline. He chuckled, "So, Aleta, you like dangereuse things, oui?" He smiled, realizing that she was waiting for him to introduce himself. He gave a soft laugh, "And I? Mademoiselle, I am Ramaskith." He chose to stick to his real name, not a fake derivative of his true name, like he had done before. It seemed pointless now, to pretend to be someone he was not. It was much more fun to be himself and still trick people into thinking he was different than led to believe. It had a certain complexity and difficulty to the task which he enjoyed.

What do you do when your friend’s life’s at stake What do you say, she won’t talk, she won’t play How can one boy destroy a whole team? That boy is bad, bad news, bad news… Aleta’s ears pricked at his seeming understanding of her love for danger. She smiled, her first real smile since meeting him. So many thought her crazy, but Ramaskith, as he called himself, seemed to understand. The mare’s smile was returned by one of his own—charming and mysterious, she thought. It had been so long since she had met such a friendly and fascinating stranger. How odd, she realized, that suddenly, upon remembering all of her solitary adventures, she felt lonely. ”Oh yes,” she replied enthusiastically. ”Though I prefer to call it adventure,” she continued, surprised to find a coy undertone in her voice. She reprimanded herself gently, almost amused at the way she was behaving with this stag. Her days of flirtation as a filly were long past, thrown by the wayside as she courted a new lover of a more intangible form. Yet something about Ramaskith made her comfortable with him—perhaps it was his easy, charming manner, perhaps the great golden beast at his side, or perhaps it was simply the fact that he seemed to actually understand her. The pretty tiger dun tossed her mane, looking him in the eye. ”In fact, Ramaskith, I was just in search of a little adventure before we stumbled upon each other. Would you care to join me?” she asked, indicating further up the mountain.
--behind the post-- oh Aleta. not the greatest time to decide you have a crush on him, my dear xD

Adventure, eh? Ramaskith smirked. Yes, in a way it was adventure, but it was all dangerous, nonetheless. And if you spent too much time looking at it like an adventure, the dangerousness would sneak up and bite you. He could see that this mare didn't particularly care though. She was an adrenaline junkie in the truest form, and didn't spend her time thinking about the consequences 'danger' held. She didn't seem to see the danger that stood in front of her either, judging by the way her tone changed when she spoke to him. He couldn't help but smile in return. It was slightly amusing, to have someone react this way to him. She asked him to go with her, on her search for adventure. "Why, of course mademoiselle," he said, smiling softly, just a quirk of his lips. "I cannot pass up an adventure."

Why does the rain fall from up above, Why do fools fall in love, Why do they fall in love? Aleta tipped her head forward, happy at his willingness. ”Come on, then!” she replied, turning her back on him and heading higher up the mountain. She looked over her shoulder to make sure that he was following, then swished her tail contentedly, excited to have a fellow adventurer along for the ride. As they climbed, she marveled at the trees and the meadow shrinking smaller and smaller beneath them. It was true, they were true, the rumors she’d heard—the east really did have some of the best scenery in Forma Silvestris. It must be pleasant to live here, she mused. Finally, they reached a cliff that she deemed suitable. It overlooked the forest and the surrounding mountains, all tinted orange by the setting sun. Her golden coat gleamed softly in the dying light. ”Can you think of anything more beautiful, Ramaskith?” she sighed, stepping out onto the ledge and peering out across the land.

Ramaskith followed the mare up the side of the mountain. She was looking out over a cliff at the landscape, asking if he had ever seen anything more beautiful. He almost laughed. Beautiful? Only if it all belonged to him. Vondur trotted up beside him, sitting and staring at the sky with a bored expression on his face. He glanced up at Ramaskith, motioning at the mare standing in just a vulnerable spot on that cliff. The feline smiled a toothy smile, lifting a paw with outstretched claws. Ramaskith shrugged his shoulders with a roll, nodding his permission before quietly turning to walk back down the mountain, glancing back to see the big cat lunge forward, pushing his heavy body into the mare and hearing her scream in surprise, and then in fear as she toppled over the edge. He smiled softly as he hear a sickening thud, Vondur turning away from where he was perched looking down at the falling damsel. The equine then continued walking back down the mountainside, humming to himself as his daemon bounced beside him.
